Hôtel Palace Royal Centre-Ville par JARO

"We enjoyed the clean room but the pull out bed had a huge divot in it and even though we booked months in advance it was difficult to find a room with two beds. And that is throughout the city. The room was clean but could use an update on the decor. Lamp shade was torn, the side table wabbled and the curtains were dated and felt dirty to the touch. Some one going in there with an attention to detail would go a long way adding to the experience. The staff were friendly and the hotel is in a good location for shops, etc. We opted out to have breakfast there for an additional fee but the Second Cup Cafe is a short walk away and makes a decent coffee/latte. Also, the doors that open to overlook the pool and large screen displaying an aquarium scene did not open so that was a disappointment. Overall, a decent spot to stay if you plan on spending most of your time outside of the room. 3.5 stars."

"The room was very clean and comfortable. It had a wonderful shower. The sink was too high for the faucet, which made it a bit awkward to use. The parking situation is difficult because, although the parking lot is only a block or two away, one must drive through many one way streets and construction zones to get there. The hotel did not allow us to take the luggage cart outside to the curb so we had to carry everything about a block to get to the spot where we could pull up the car. Then I had to wait there for about 20 minutes while my husband got the car from the lot and brought it around to the place where we could park and load it up. Kind of complicated. But overall, the hotel is in a great location and the room was very nice. The restaurant was fun, too. I would definitely recommend it, but beware of the parking situation. Staff was very nice, as well."

Loved the quiet location near cafes, ferry to QC, historical attractions. Clean and well maintained. Really no complaints at all. I recommend and may likely return."
