We arrived at the JinJiang Inn at 8pm on the 9th of September. 3/4 of our party were not Chinese nationals. We proceeded to wait for 3 hours while the hotel checked with their local neighbourhood committee whether or not we would be permitted to stay. Ultimately we were not allowed to stay, at which point i contacted hotel.com Gold Team and they informed me they could not find nearby accomodation, despite options being available on the hotels.com app. The decision of the Jinjiang inn not to allow us to stay had nothing to do with Covid restrictions, we are all resident in China and had our relavant health code. We were able to stay at the Wanda Vista Quanzhou with no issues. It's my opinion that the Jinjiang inn should be removed from hotels.com listings until they are able to accomodate non-Chinese nationals.
The hotel location is good, very convenient, just 9 mins walk to 开元寺. Opposite hotel is a Mall where you can find many F&B outlets and also international departmental outlets like Uniqlo, H&M and many others Sport wear shops. Local food stalls are just a few steps from the hotel. You can go for your morning exercise in 西湖.
Hotel room is clean and most important WiFi is available. Hotel staffs are nice and courteous.
Good location. 40 mins by bus from airport. A big shopping mall nearby with supermarket n restaurants. Clean basic room with daily housekeeping. No refrigerator in the room. Weak WIFI. Not recommend for light sleeper as the sound proofing is weak. Can easily hear someone talking n shouting at the corridor. Most of the hotel guests are local. Small lobby with elevators.
Excellent location, and easy to find. I had a room with no window, so it was perfectly quiet. The room was good size and the bathroom big. The WiFi was quite unstable at times. I tried their breakfast the second day and was wonderfully surprised: nice welcoming little dining room, simple but varied and good-tasting food. Freshly ground coffee, too. Loved it
