"The Simpson Resort was slightly disappointing compared to the previous reviews that influenced my booking. 1.) The front desk staff was very helpful while checking in however when we returned to the front desk to ask about the restaurants we were given a map and offered a shuttle ride there. The shuttle driver drove us ALL around the resort before dropping us off. We tipped him accordingly! We ultimately realized that the restaurants were located less than 800 feet away from our room!! Everything was walkable and no shuttle needed as the resort is small! 2.) This is a timeshare and not a hotel. 3.) Check out is BEFORE 10am!! Please read the fine print. 4.) The gym is at a daily rate and not included in your stay. 5.) The resort is kinda dated as the aesthetics are very 90’s 6.) Location is ideal and walkable to most popular locations but if you ask staff they will encourage you to catch a taxi. Please don’t! Take the walk, it’s likely less than 10 minutes walk from the resort. 7.) We never saw the pool being cleaned or treated. 8.) The breakfast is really good for the price. 9.) Location was exceptional!! The beach is literally right there and safe to swim. 10.) Staff were nice and helpful. Appreciate their attentiveness and effort to accommodate. 11.) There was a roach in our room but otherwise the room was clean with exception for the moldy tub tiles. Again, this is an older resort that is primarily still a timeshare. 12.) It was really LOUD above us! Running! Jumping!"

"The staff were wonderful. We were greeted with a cold towel and champagne. My room was gorgeous with a beautiful view of the ocean. The food was excellent. The buffet was my preference. I’d absolutely recommend. 10/10!"

"Would NOT recommend. My husband and i stayed at the Morgan for our honeymoon for 5 days. I have to be honest, we were so disappointed. Our very first interaction with front desk staff member was poor. I’m assuming she had a frustrating day but she certainly took it out on us. Didn’t greet us, told us nothing about the property, she just slid us the room key barely said anything and that was it. And the very little she said was snarky and just rude. Second interaction, a bartender was incredibly condescending and rude. He act like we were a bother to him. This took away our initial excitement about the property. We travel often, stay at many hotels, this was by far the worst costumer service we experienced from staff . Out of all of them, we had ONE super kind, waitress one morning at the pool. The rooms are outdated, and not maintained well. The bedding is cheap, thin , rough and mattress is uncomfortable. So you’ll freeze if you don’t have a comforter of your own. They charge for every little thing, with terrible service, that can be aggravating. For example, room service, there’s a service charge + the items + a charge per person. Overall 4/10. Beautiful view / pool area. That was the best part. But overall, they value money over customer experience, it’s so obvious. We were so disappointed and wish we booked an air bnb or another property."

"It was great overall. Enjoyed walking to Baie Rouge beach, dinners at Mezza Luna and Ma Ti Beach, with exceptional staff. Transport is a must if you want to explore more of the Dutch side."
