Home away from home

What a wonderful stay we had at this lovely place! It was terrific - very well appointed and so comfortable. A joy to call it “home” while we were away! And our host was so kind and helpful when we needed her! Highly recommend!

Really nice property in a great location for exploring Quebec City, Île d'Orléans, Jacques Cartier National Park and other nearby locations. Well equipped, comfortable, furnished and clean it had everything we needed for staying several days.Note that if you use the sofa bed (as we did), that room does not have curtains at the doors and windows so in the summer you will get woken earlier by the daylight.

Our stay was just perfect. We would definitely stay here again. Just FYI the stairs to get up to the apartment are a little steep, not a problem for us but just something to be aware of. Perfect location to go visit Old Quebec City and also to go skiing. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Quick getaway to Quebec City

We were really impressed with apartment. Very spacious and clean and well-appointed. The location is just north of Quebec City in a quiet neghborhood, but it was an easy drive to the sights we wanted to see. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Great base for exploring Quebec City & Charlevoix region!

Comfortable, quaint & well-equipped. Traffic noise a bit of an issue, & entry stairs need work. But we loved the space & the location really fit with our plans. Merci!

Wonderful stay with convenient access to Quebec City

We loved this place. It's spacious, with plenty of sitting areas to spread out. The location is quiet, outside Quebec City, yet still with easy access to Quebec City, Sentiers du Moulin, and Mont Sainte Anne. Our host Elaine was so gracious and helpful! And we got to meet the neighbors who live downstairs and get ice cream from the pizza place on the ground level.

The space is lovely. The stair railing, as pictured, needs some tending to and there is a full flight of stairs. It would have been nice if there were instructions about the use of the air conditioning and plumbing in the shower, it took us a minute to figure that all out. I would highly recommend this unit, these are just notes

Charming Apartment

This upstairs property was very well maintained. Railing was wiggly but held our weight when we went up and down. Quiet neighborhood in a small picturesque town. Very close to the Montmorency Falls Park, 20 min to ile d'Orleans island and 30 minutes from Quebec City.

Fabulous apartment!

Wonderful, HUGE apartment. Her design style is impeccable. Every detail is spot on. The beds are incredibly comfortable. East drive to old Quebec City. Amenities are complete. Everything you need. We only stayed 2 nights and it wasn’t enough. You won’t regret staying here.

Wonderful place to experience Quebec

The place has a country side cottage feel. We stayed for 6 nights and explored Quebec and the coast and old highway. The location was perfect! The neighbors were charming and friendly. We even got to try the restaurant below. The place was perfect for us traveling with our daughter and cat. It was fully equipped and felt like home! The view of the church was charming! The people were amazing - generous, friendly and proud of Quebec! 😃

Large, comfortable apartment in quaint town of L’ange gardiens.

We found apartment to be generally comfortable (air conditioner was only effective in living dining room area). We used the fan from the living room to make the bedroom comfortable). We were there during an usually hot period! The location of the apartment was convenient to old Quebec. We enjoyed our stay. (We noticed the banister on the outdoor staircase was a bit shaky).

Quebec City apartment with historic charm

We enjoyed our stay in this 2/1 apartment in an 1800's historic house, in an up-scale area of Quebec City; called Ave, Royale. It overlooks the St. Lawrence River and it's close to the historic district. Well-appointed with everything you will need to stay comfortably. The beds are very comfortable too. A pizza parlor and ice cream shop are on the ground level and so convenient for those late-night snacks. Our host Elaine is very cordial and greeted us upon our arrival. We would certainly recommend this property for anyone seeking an enjoyable vacation in beautiful Quebec. Five stars all the way!! L&C

Wonderful base for exploring Quebec City and the surrounding area

Elaine‘s place is super spacious and was a comfortable place for us to establish a base for exploration. It was nice having individual bedrooms and so many places to sit and relax or read a book. It was also convenient having a washer and dryer and a fairly well equipped kitchen. Elaine was so responsible and accommodating as a host. She provided a secure place to store our bikes, checked in on us often, and helped us extend our stay when we needed to. It was also nice to meet the neighbors who lived downstairs and to get ice cream from the pizza shop on the bottom level. There is an IGA grocery store not far away so that’s convenient too. We would stay here again!

Nice place

This was a very nice apartment. Very comfortable. The pizza/ice cream shop was a very convenient place to grab dinner after a long day of driving. We did have one issue with the stairs going up to the apartment. A board came off, and the railing was loose. The board was quickly repaired, and the owners said that they would be working to repair the stairs and loose railing the next day.

A weekend away

My husband and I wanted to visit Quebec City. I looked at a bunch of properties in the city but they didn’t speak to me. I saw this property and thought it was too good to be true. It was exactly as advertised. The rental was beautiful, clean and well stocked. Elaine checked in with us when we arrived. It was an easy drive to get into the city, the island or anywhere we needed to go. Parking was free and just down the stairs. We have recommended this place to everyone we have told about our trip. If we return to QC this is the place we will stay!!!!

Amazing property

Check in process was very easy. House is great, bigger than it looks on the photos and it looks great in them! Well equipped kitchen if you wanted to cook, which we didn't! Above the pizza and ice cream parlour, but no noise at all. Tried the pizzas and ice cream and would recommend. The house is about 15 minutes from Quebec City and super easy to get in and out of the city. its also very close to Monmorency falls, carpark at the top of the falls is about a 5 minute drive from the house. There's a corner shop a five minutes walk from the house which was very handy. Also just over a mile on the same road as the house is a lovely vineyard, we walked so we could do tastings and it was well worth it! there's also a lovely neighbour downstairs!

Spacious unit in quiet area

We stayed here for three nights. We really enjoyed the unit. It is upstairs (the outdoor stairs are a bit rickety but the interior of the unit is great!). It has a nice deck for enjoying a glass of wine. It has a nice television viewing room and a separate living room. The television only has two French channels but it is setup to receive chrome casting from your iPhone or other device. The unit has plenty of common space! It only has one bathroom but this bathroom has an updated shower that works great. There is a small window in the bathroom that could maybe use a small curtain but one can work around that. The beds were comfortable and the windows were easy to open (and screened) to get the night breezes. We were sent our instructions only in French and the owner seemed to think they came through in both English and French, but they were only French. But Google interpreted them for me very easily. This is a great value for the money for multi night stays and recommended.
