A True Lakeside Escape — With a Few Small CaveatsIf you’re looking for a peaceful retreat where the water does the talking, this lakehouse delivers in nearly every way. From the moment we pulled up the gravel drive and caught our first glimpse of the lake shimmering through the trees, we knew we were in for something special. The Setting & PrivacyThis place is genuinely secluded. No neighbors peeking over fences, no road noise — just birdsong, water, and the occasional splash of a fish breaking the surface. The lot is well-wooded and the dock sits at the end of a private path that felt entirely our own. If peace and quiet are what you’re after, this is it.FishingAbsolutely outstanding. We fished everyday right off the dock and never came up empty. The fish were plentiful, and the pier had shade to allow for tranquility of the breeze. One of the best fishing experiences our group has had at any rental property. The House & AmenitiesFully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, a charcoal grill on the deck, basketball court and a large game room — the host clearly thought of everything. The living area has a wonderful view of the water and the sunsets were absolutely stunning each evening.A Few Minor IssuesI’d be doing future guests a disservice not to mention two small but notable hiccups. The room AC units — there are two small units in the master and guest room that we were not prepared to manage.
