"We had a lovely stay at Harbor Cottage. On the harbor just off the ferry exit. Communication was great & we accessed the cottage easily. Everything was clean & comfy. Even had Sky TV which can be rare. Kitchen had most everything you could need. Only issue was the slats on both beds kept falling. "

"Great visit to Kirkwall! The Albert hotel was fantastic! It is an older property decorated very nicely! Our room was upgraded to a larger room because there were 2of us! The meal we had in the restaurant was the best we had in our visit to the Orkney’s. The staff was so accommodating and helpful. " Were shown to our room, which is in an annexe to Kirkwall Hotel. Room was very spacious with comfy chairs overlooking Kirkwall Harbour. Comfortable bed also. Overall would recommend The Shore. Only downside for us was that the blinds in the window were a poor fit & let in a lot of light, but then we do prefer a dark room at night."

"We had a very enjoyable and restful 5-night stay here. The accommodation was very comfortable and in a convenient location for getting around the island (and travelling to others), while being nice and quiet as well. It's a shame that the restaurant is currently out of action but there are plenty of options in quite easy driving distance (although we would advise booking ahead, as a lot of them were quite sought-after). And an excellent breakfast was laid on (and a packed meal for the day of our early departure) by the very helpful staff. Also, there's a well-stocked Asda just across the road. It was a lovely holiday and we're very grateful for the opportunity to visit such a wonderful place. "
