"We checked in and immediately was appalled at the smell our room had. A combination of BO and whatever chemical/cleaning solution they used to try to mask it. The AC was not working properly and opening windows did not help (street view room).

"Excellent stay only 20 mins drive from the historic town of Guimaraes. We had a beautiful double room with a fantasic view down into the valley. The gardens are beautiful, breakfast includes fresh orange juice from the orange trees in the garden. Claudino is very generous with his time and knowledge. "

First impressions make you think the bed will be squeaky and it can be a little but the mattress is extremely comfortable. A great night sleep. The rooms are a good size, well looked after with a great shower. There is also a useful mini fridge in the room. Staff are always polite and helpful. I don’t usually choose the breakfast option as I prefer to go to the supermarket and have my own choices in my room. Very happy every stay time i stay in this hotel. "
