"We had a wonderful time at Deerhurst !!
The staff is so accommodating. Everything you need is right there.
I will never rent a cottage again, hauling half the house to the cottage !!
Considering the prices of motels in Huntsville this time of year , for a bit extra , you get all the amenities. "
"Liked the lake side setting with a beach area suitable for activities of watching the sun set.
Had a good selection of watercraft available for guest use.
The barbecue on the deck was a real plus giving a lot of flexibility in menu selection."
"The house itself was beautiful, clean, large enough for 4 adults and 4 children. The description on the listing though, is a little off. It doesn’t have year round views of a lake and I would not say this property is waterfront. House is situated on high ground with a big drop, that you cannot climb down. I’m glad my children were old enough to understand to not go near the edge. The small town of Dorset was 15 mins drive and it had everything you would need. Great fishing spot too. Dwight Beach was a 5 mins drive and was very scenic. My children enjoyed the beach and lake there. We booked as 8 but was only given 6 towels. It also took a while to get a response from the host, in regards to gaining access to the laundry facilities. All in all it was a lovely property, but no lake views in the summer, not waterfront as such and the grounds were not too safe for children. Thank you for hosting us. We had a nice mini vacation."
