"We got into town without any hotel reservations, but we wanted to start in the "old" town Taos. We saw the La Fonda and thought we'd look into a reservation there. We were so happy we did. I have difficulty walking and it was right in the middle of where we wanted to be with the shops, restaurants, and old town beauty. The staff at the front desk was outstanding helping me navigate where to park to unload and then where to park for the night. We got an excellent restaurant recommendation at the Azteca Mexican Grill. The room was very clean and the bed was just right, slightly firm and comfortable. We ended up on the second floor in a "common" area and ended up chatting with a couple and their three kids from Arizona. I don't normally do this but can't help to not recommend this hotel. Book it, you won't regret it."
