"This was an absolutely delightful cabin! It was the perfect mix of rustic charm with all the conveniences of home. Ortnevik is an ideal off-the-beaten-path destination. The family who owns the property lives close by — they were lovely to talk to and work with. There is serene and bucolic hiking very near the cabin, with a few surprises that will surely amaze. This was hands-down our best lodging experience in Norway (among several). Tusen takk!!!"

"This beautifully designed cabin at literally the end of the road on Sognefjord was so quaint, comforting and a place to relax after a whirlwind trip through Norway. Art sculptures made by the owner surround the property. The host was extremely responsive and even found time to give a little tour of the property electric power system. Many walking and biking paths available right from the house. Kitchen well equipped with amenities.Absolutely a lovely place to unwind."

"Thank you to Lawrence for the second year having a one night stay in this simply fantastic hotel - the food here is to absolutely die for - I nearly embarrassed myself as I wanted to ask if I could have another steak for dessert! Hope to see you again next year maybe!"

"Modern, spacious and very clean apartment. We did not use kitchen but all appliances and dishes seemed very good quality.comfortable beds and clean bathroom. We knew it was close to Road on the map, Road noise was there but didn’t bother us much. The thermostat in the room did not work but again wasn’t a major issue as we turned it off and opened windows briefly to allow cooler air inside the room. Carparking facility was very helpful for us."

"Our week in Viksdalen was unforgettable. The location is absolutely stunning—quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by natural beauty. The house was perfect for our two families, offering plenty of space and comfort. Everything was spotless, and the sound of the nearby waterfall added such a special charm. Torunn and Lars Egil were wonderful hosts—very welcoming and helpful. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub each evening, taking in the majestic views. The home was also conveniently located for day trips, allowing us to explore many amazing parts of the Norwegian fjords. This was the perfect place to experience the best of Norway, and we would love to return."
