The house is perfect for a small group; we were 3 adults and each had our own bedroom. Joe was fantastic to work with! A special treat was the small group of deer in the area and right in the yard each day! Everything we wanted to visit was truly very close!

This was a nice one night stop for us and our pet. Property was very clean. The only reason I give 4 for overall is no working outside lights to walk our dog and a heads up on construction work at the exit to the street for property would have been nice.

Perfect Property and Location!

What a great place and excellent location! And, the host was highly accommodating as well as a great communicator! My wife and I traveled to Rapid City with our youngest daughter in order to spend Christmas together as a family. Our oldest daughter works on a nearby ranch and our son flew in to meet us from Los Angeles. We did a similar trip last year and stayed in the Black Hills, but this year we wanted a nice property that was more centrally located and convenient to everything. This property was perfect -- within convenient reach of everything from the ranch, the airport, all area attractions and situated within a few minutes of downtown Rapid, but also tucked away at the base of Cowboy Hill, so it's truly a combination of an Urban location with a rural feel. Everything about the property is exactly as advertised and the host, Joe, is awesome. Highly recommend this property -- we'll be back!

Close to everything!

Joe's house was clean and very tastefully decorated. We appreciated having coffee, laundry detergent, and plenty of paper products. The house is centrally located - within 5-10 mins of shopping and dining in Rapid City. Other attractions such as Bear Country, Old McDonald, Custer State Park, and Mt. Rushmore are within 20-40 mins. Thank you for hosting us! If we return to Rapid City, we'll be sure to stay at Joe's house again.

"Adorable Home Next to So Much!" is an accurate description.

I wanted to have a basecamp more or less equidistant between the Badlands National Park and Mount Rushmore/Crazy Horse/Devils Tower. This house fit the bill. The house itself was clean and well set up, and in a neighborhood not too far off the beaten path, but enough that on a few mornings I saw deer and turkeys walking down the side street. The host was communicative, responsive and pleasant to work with. With 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and laundry on site, this is an ideal spot for a small family who want to see the sights in this area and still want a place to "call their own" for the duration.
