The stay was so good, we extended an additional night. The layout was great, all facilities close to each other. Whilst the hotel was busy, it never felt crowded, the breakfast was fantastic, the restaurants all great. We went for an all inclusive package, loved that we could have meals in different premium restaurants. It also felt as is the hotel really takes care to limit food wastage, so smaller buffets replenished quickly, rather than huge trays of food that goes to waste. The kids club was great, the staff were so friendly and interactive with the kids. The swimming pools were big and plenty of space for young kids to splash around. Highly recommend!

The room was clean, just a funny smell in the bathroom sometimes. Breakfast could be better with more options and needed flavor. The Spa was amazing, if I had more time I would have done another massage. The staff particularly Catrina,Maharram,Chris, the bar staff by the pool,the people that opened the doors,Mia,Amabou from Waka, the house keeping staff,some other servers and hosts were so Amazing, kind, always smiling,great attitude,always welcoming just Awesome all around. I was so pleased seeing them they made my time there outstanding. The chef at Waka needs to work on "sticky rice" but the food was good and Reunion needs more staff or better service. The pool needed to stay open a little longer and need repairs.

Great stay at Sofitel Al Hamra. Checking was nice and easy and we were upgraded to a villa - lovely space. Rooms were comfortable. Small things like slippers were missing but didn’t make a big issue. Breakfast and dinner was good. Not lots of variety but the food tasted great. The pool areas are great. Spacious. For kids there is a covered pool area which in this heat is a god send. The slides are also great. Towels and cooler with water provided as complimentary. All in all had a great stay. Would stay again for sure. Shout out to Caterina on reception, Anees the Exec Chef and Elli in the pool areas.

Fantastic hotel and amazing staff. We had an glorious 4 day stay over the National Holiday. Food was great and the pool was awesome! There were a couple of issues but they were resolved quickly by the staff.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The room was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated, with a stunning view that made our mornings extra special. The location was perfect, close to everything but still peaceful and quiet. We also really enjoyed the breakfast; it was fresh, varied, and delicious. Thank you for a memorable experience, we’ll definitely be back!

The staffs are all helpful and friendly. Special shout out to Uttar and the Egyptian guy with a Christian name who assisted us in the reception. The amenities of the property are great. We will be back next time as this is the only hotel in RAK that I know which caters to our 3 pets.

Fantastic location and excellent service and ammenities. Busy weekend with public holiday but didn’t feel too crowded. No queues for meals which was fantastic. Only downside was the lack of flexibility with booking a last minute seat at Waka bar to view the sunset over a cold drink. Tables were all booked out, but not actually used until well after the sun went down. Get in early and book a table if this is on your list to do.

Terrific Three-night family stay

Three night-stay half-board stay, lounging by the three massive pools (one open until 9 pm!) with our toddler who enjoyed the mini-water park. Not overcrowded at all. Themed restaurants are worth trying. The beachfront rooms are quite far from the beach - which itself isn’t much of a beach either. The sand is created from crushed shells which gets uncomfortable under the feet. The beach could use a mini-bar too and a giant canopy as the sun gets really hot on the bare beach. Other than that, the staff go above and beyond to make your stay personal. Special Shout-outs to Hayford, Jaycin, Velen, Yakub, and Mohsin for the super hospitality! Definitely visiting again.

From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, even during one of the busiest times of the year. A special shoutout to Princess, Katrina, and the pool bar staff—their exceptional service truly made our stay memorable. Despite the holiday rush, they handled everything with professionalism, efficiency, and a warm smile. The location is perfect for a relaxing getaway, and the pools were undoubtedly the highlight of our stay. Even with so many guests, finding a poolside seat or getting a cold drink delivered was never an issue. The staff was always attentive and ensured everything ran smoothly. If you’re looking for a place to unwind with great service, a stunning location, and the best poolside experience, I highly recommend Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort. Can’t wait to return!
