Rawai Beach isn't very good as there isn't really a beach as such. We went for the amazing fish restaurants, that were recommended to us. On one side of the road you have all the fresh fish for sale, so you choose your fish and then take it to the restaurants opposite and they will cook it to your liking for a very small fee.
The James Bond and cave tour was one of the best excursions I have gone on and well worth it. Take a stroll along the beach to watch the planes at Phuket Airport. If you enjoy aircraft it is an enjoyable walk and there are stalls for refreshing drinks.
