The house was better than expected. Everything is updated nicely. The house was very large and the kids loved the upstairs. Ask about the parking in the back- full garage.Nice! Overall great stay.
Nice updated property. Very clean. Needed paper towels in kitchen and bathrooms. Great communication with host, all questions were quickly answered. Could not lock the back door from the outside using the keypad. This door was unlocked when we arrived and the back screen door does not clear the awning above it and scrapes it every time the door is opened.Outside of these incidents, the overall experience was good.
Well-appointed with furnishings and appliances, and seemingly newly renovated, the property perfectly met out family’s need for a weekend stay in the Reading area. WiFi worked great. Quiet from the inside. Some in my group of 9 felt the neighborhood was a little sketchy, with a busy club 2 blocks away (which hosted Insane Clown Posse, during our stay), but half felt the area was alright and near the spots in Reading, Allentown and Lancaster. The property’s parking spot needed some tight maneuvering and barely fit 2 SUVs, and street parking may be a challenge.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Eduardo was a kind and responsive host. He was flexible with our check-in date, had the place cleaned before our arrival, and communicated well. However, we didn’t even stay the night. We arrived around 5 PM and left by 9 PM due to serious safety and comfort concerns. The biggest issue was the neighborhood, which was not disclosed in the listing. There’s a liquor store directly across the street, and while walking back from our parking spot (which was three blocks away), two individuals screamed and cursed at my 8-year-old son. That incident made us feel extremely unsafe.Parking was another challenge. The designated space behind the home was too small for our SUV, and nearby street parking was scarce.Security also felt lacking. The back door lock didn’t work properly, and the front door had only a keypad deadbolt, no knob or secondary lock. The door itself appeared to have been damaged previously, adding to the sense of vulnerability. The listing had no exterior photos, which would have helped set better expectations for the surrounding area. While the third-floor bedrooms had portable AC units, the rest of the upstairs remained hot and uncomfortable. To Eduardo’s credit, he said he’s addressing some of these issues, and I believe he cares. But based on our experience, this property is not suitable for families with young kids or anyone concerned about security and neighborhood safety.
