"The host is WONDERFUL and addresses issues EFFECTIVELY. Unfortunately there were a couple of issues (such as the gas & electric company coming early in the morning and saying they needed to shut gas/electric off or the Kuerig machine not working) that made the stay a little less relaxing. However, these issues were probably out of the control of the host and the host immediately dealt with these incidents and found resolutions. It was OUTSTANDING service!"

Top Reading Hotel Reviews

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Montpelier by IHG

8/10 Good

"The only complaint I have was with the odor from nearby farms. It wasn’t noticeable in the hotel. Other than that, the room, pool, and hotel were nice and clean. The breakfast selection was great and nice variety to pick from."

The Lake House Retreat

8/10 Good

"I must have inadvertently booked a handicap room, there was no tub, but just a walk in shower, and that was okay, except the water from the shower made the entire floor of the bathroom slippery and wet. I informed the office that the toilet seat was very loose, he assured me he would have maintenance look into it. The shower had a large square shower head, so you had the rain shower effect. The only downside was, there were no businesses close by, so if I wanted to eat, I had to travel for food. The deck in the middle of the courtyard was in disrepair and the pool was unavailable."

Americas Best Value Inn Jonesville Hillsdale

8/10 Good

"The staff was very helpful with my odd check in and check out times. The furniture is new and clean. It was quiet. There is a coffee maker, but there is no bottled water available to use in it. There was no hot water in the bathroom, so I had no shower. The hand soap dispenser was empty."

Hillsdale County, Michigan: weddings, groups, Hillsdale College, Trine Univ.

10/10 Excellent

"Excellent host, great communication! The property and house was beautiful. The house is very spacious. Plenty of sleeping space available for large groups. The host is very attentive and responds quickly."

Charming Reading Home w/ Lake Views & Private Dock

10/10 Excellent

"Was a great place for girls week out! Lots of games and laughs. Didn't really use the lake but it was peaceful and quiet. Only thing we bought was a dishrag and kitchen towel otherwise the kitchen was well equiped. Highly recommend it."
