"We had a terrific time staying at the River Song Cabin.It is clean and bright and very comfortable, just perfect for our 51st wedding anniversary. We hiked several trails and to several of the lakes. I fished Lower Lone Pine (caught 3 rainbows there) and caught 3 little bookies in the creek, and tried my luck at Hiawatha (but got skunked there). We loved making a little fire in he stove at night to take the chill off and twice fell asleep together on the sofa, hypnotized by the flames. We wanted for nothing (except a potatoe peeler. LOLWe visited the Village a couple times and had a nice dinner out at Beaver Meadows Resort Restaurant to celebrate our 51st, and the food and service was excellent! I highly recommend the glazed salmon.Weather was great. We saw a variety of wildlife; deer, rabbits, camp jays and lots of hummingbirds, and was surprised to watch a bobcat stroll through the property. Also truly loved the adorable little chipmunks and they kept us constantly entertained.A shout out to Carrie and Barb at the Base Camp, who are kind and patient with all my questions and always explained with a warm friendly smile.We absolutely loved our stay there, and I'm sure we’ll return at some time in our future.Thank you Diane for your attention to the details, it really shows in how complete everything came together for us to have a wonderfully relaxing stay very seamlessly."

"It's a great place! Clean, cozy, and peaceful. We enjoyed the hot tub at night and even had fun watching the fish in the fish tanks. Our dogs loved it too! "

"A wonderful home base for a week of hiking in the Red Feather Lakes area. This cabin is very well-appointed, clean, and cozy. The property is secluded, with lovely views. We would definitely stay here again."

"This will be the third year in a row that my two granddaughters, age six and nine, and myself have stayed here, and plan on coming back over and over. I can't say enough about Hilltop General Store and Cabins, the fantastic and very friendly owners, the perfect location, the beautiful scenery and walking distance to just about everything. Yes it is rustic, however one or two of the cabins have been beautifully remodeled and they are continuing to remodel all of them. The cabins and the general store on the property were built in the 1800s. The owners are quickly responsive to any requests and make you feel like family when you are here. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in this lovely little town. "

"The stay was amazing, the only downfall was the WiFi isn’t the best. So if you are planning on doing some internet things while you are there maybe keep that in mind. Also no AC, didn’t matter for us because it was cool at night. Very clean very neat property! "

"I stayed in one of the cabins and it was fabulous!! We overlooked the river and saw a moose from our deck. Great water pressure and comfy beds. So much fancier than a “cabin” that I was expecting. And the staff here are so very nice!! Loved our stay!"
