"This is a very old property, which adds to its charm. A tiny winding creaky staircase led to our room. The bed was extremely comfortable and the large walk in shower included a comfortable tile bench, which made my husband wish we had one in our own bath at home. The property is very large with several lovely seating areas, a pond and several lovely flower beds. We enjoyed fireflies, which appeared like fairy lights in the evening. "The lobby smells GREAT, especially by the elevators. This was my second time staying here. I asked the front desk to change a $20 bill so I could give a tip to the housekeeping staff, and they said they didn’t have change (nor did the restaurant)! I’ve never heard of that. I felt terrible to not give the housekeepers a tip (they deserve it and work hard). Bed is comfortable, pillows are great, shower is good too (and toilets have jet-flush)."

"Amazing overnight for (part of) my sisters bachelorette. The staff was so thoughtful and communicative about when the room was ready, spa appointments, and dining. We reserved a cabana for the day (the deposit can be used for food/drink on the aqua terrace), which is a must for a group. Everyone raved about their massages! The steam room and sauna were great, and the relaxation room was incredible."

"Gorgeous stay - need to work out some kinks. Had to ask for a steamer 3 times to never get one. 3 times for extra pillows. The valet parking situation is a bit off. Hotel staff talking loudly with non guests how they wouldn’t spend the money to stay here. Our room had a window that was directly in the way of morning light with a window that had NO shade - brought this up and nothing was done nor apologized. The rooms are LOUD - yes the property is old and they make note but when you have old and steel tubs you need to add rugs in the room minimum. The aesthetic is beautiful and the design firm did great but if you want to charge these prices that I’m sure will climb you need to fix these small details. The restaurant was the star out our trip absolutely incredible food and lovely staff. Overall a good stay but again - some changes need to be made as you know the crowd you are attracting."
