"High Desert Inn was just what we hoped it would be. It was convenient, clean, and pleasant. The staff was professional and courteous. We were able to enjoy our evening in Salena and get back on the road the next day. We enjoyed the food and service at El Mexicano just up the road a bit."

"We stayed in a suite and it was so nice to be able to stretch out on a couch that was so comfortable. The room was big and clean. Breakfast was nice but the eating area is a bit small if there are alot of folks wanting to eat at the same time. I would have given this stay 5 stars but we had to come up with a $100 cash deposit for our service dog. My husbands service dog is probably better behaved than kids. "

"This was a great stop for one night. Quiet, clean hotel with nice views of the mountains. Friendly staff and breakfast in the morning helped too. Would gladly stay here again if my path leads through Scipio. "

"Room was filthy. Light bulbs out. Hot water didnt work. Luckily the sheets were clean. The outside was discusting. Trash everywhere. Lawns not kept up. Really a trashy place "
