The room was large and very clean, but check in was very slow, person checking us in appeared to be need more training and took her awhile to get help. Other than that the stay was nice. I would go there again

It doesn't matter the circumstances, noone from the hotel should open the door without notifying us that they are coming. Had an employee of the hotel open the front door to the room without notice they were coming. Luckily, the secondary door lock was in place and they were not able to fully open the door. This was unacceptable and horrifying.

Thank you for your message and feedback. You are correct, no one should ever enter a room without announcing themselves and we do have that policy in place...treat every room as if it's occupied. Our Executive Housekeeper, who was checking rooms that morning, stated he knocked & announced his presence before trying to enter the room, as is our protocol. He quickly realized the room was occupied as a result of the safety latch in place. He spoke with the individuals in the room and explained the situation at that time. We have since reviewed the situation with all of our housekeepers to ensure we're knocking & announcing ourselves loudly and multiple times in an effort to avoid situations like this again and certainly apologize for the inconvenience and any concern it presented.
