"We had a great vacation at Hideaway! The house is so cozy and beautifully decorated. It was clean and fully stocked with supplies. There are so many amenities that we didn’t have time to use them all! (Kayaks, paddle board, game shed, crabbing, fire pits, pizza oven…) The owners have thought of everything you’d need or want, plus more! We loved the quiet beach and how close it is to the house. We can’t wait to return again!"

"We absolutely loved our stay on Smith island in this adorable cottage. Laura the host was very responsive, friendly and helpful. Being first timers to the island, I had several questions that were answered very quickly. The cottage was clean, well stocked (which is important for this type of unique experience) and decorated very cute. The local people were very friendly and we enjoyed the scenery of the island. We will definitely be back!"

"The houses are absolutely perfect! Exactly as described, and then some. Having 2 houses for a family vacation was perfect, giving everyone their own space with also providing plenty of space for family time. Plenty of dining space, both inside and out to accommodate a family of 14. The pool was great for the kids, crabbing was awesome right from the dock. With a well equipped game room for everyone to enjoy. The bonus for us was all the yard games we found in the equipment room. They have 4 corn hole games, crochet, pool floats and balls, pretty much almost anything you could want. The dock was perfect, we had a 19 foot and a 24 foot boat, and still had tons of room on the dock to crab or just sit by the water. The hosts, Lori and Tom were wonderful people. Lori came each morning, fairly early to tend to the pool and water the plants. She did what she needed to do and was on her way, never felt intrusive. We enjoyed the place so much we have already booked a week for next summer. Highly recommend, cannot say enough good about the houses and the hosts. "

"Excellent Stay. Was as pictured. Very clean and organized. Hosts were excellent. They were very friendly, helpful, polite, and responsive. The house and property is great for pets too. Also, a very quiet and safe area.The property was beautiful. It stormed the first day and the water was not accessible. It was amazing how different a storm on the Potomac makes the environment. It was cold, extremely windy, and the water was coming over the top of the barriers and dock. The following day we woke up and it was like a paradise. Beautiful, quiet, and warm. Kayaking in the water was fun, but I feel like I needed a lager kayak for this end of the Potomac. I borrowed theirs - thank you! We actually rented the house to go to Westmoreland, but then ended up spending almost all of our time at the house. My favorite space was the sun room overlooking the water. Great place to cuddle with the dogs and read a book or just relax and watch the water. I miss it already.Only two recommendations: 1. The dock was really high off the water. To make it accessible and safe for kids and older people - it need a lower dock or safe place to put in kayaks.2. There needs to be a lamp or more central lights inside to balance the lighting in the main room.I think this property has a lot to offer and would rent again. "

"We had a great time, the low tide wasn’t too low to enjoy the private beach but there are a lot of variables that affect that which we are aware of and it was still beautiful and fun, we would definitely return. Thank you Nathan for your beautiful home "
