"What a gem in Matera! Easy to get to, not to many stairs. (It's Matera, so of course there are some) It took 7-8 minutrs from the parking garage. Short way to Piazza de Sedile with cafes and restaurants nearby. We had the spa room. It was lovely to jump into the small pool after a warm day. The room was spotless and clean. When you stepped outside and walked around the corner, you had a lovely view of Matera. We loved it. And if you are worried about the noise from the pool; you can turn it off...

"Lovely locanda, with exceptional staff and beautiful roman spa below the hotel. Great central location. Go over festa da bruna for the full patron saint of matera experience. Don't miss the fireworks on 2nd July. Stay in a cave room, you won't regret it. I stayed in a dependence about 10mins walk from main hotel. Enjoy the fresh juicy apricots for breakfast with fresh Ricotta."
