"We loved this little hotel. Itâs hidden away but once inside it is neat and tidy with a nice pool out the back. The owners were lovely and breakfast was included with delicious homemade cake and fresh juice. Itâs a good stop over on the way to or from Lisbon. "

The place itself is like a small villa and the location is fairly remote, be aware the drive up to get to this property isnât for the feint of heart⊠especially with a rental car. It definitely adds to the experience of being remote but take your time and itâs not too bad.
The room is spacious and the bathrooms are very nice. The showers have rainfall shower heads and there is a window right beside the shower - if you get lucky (rooms 5/6/7/8) they face west, so you can shower as the sun sets beside you. Each room is equipped with an air conditioning unit, so you can adjust the temperature to your liking. Beds are comfy, pillows are soft, nothing to worry about with comfort.
The pool and outdoor spaces are what makes this place unique. The infinity pool is amazing and there are plenty of loungers and umbrellas for all. The hike that you can go on is awesome, bring some water and youâll be fine. It takes you to a very quiet and remote part of a river with the option to kayak/canoe (you have to ask and pay first though).
The staff during my stay were all very lovely but there was one in particular that went above and beyond. I forget his name (sorry!) however he was there the entire time we were there and was always smiling and ensured we had everything.

the location is so beautiful. tons of greenery, flowers, animals - heaven! on the road leading up to the hotel, you can see the water as well. peaceful, calm, perfect.
