The decoration of the rooms is pretty, and the owners were absolutely amazing! Bugs can sneak in under the door, but not horribly. And I never figured out the shower… could be a me thing. "We stayed at the Spanish school. Beautiful buildings and amazing gardens. Great restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. They organised a taxi to take us and pick us up from the night tour we’d booked at Monteverde. Would definitely recommend staying here."

"My family of 4 had such an incredible time hanging out in the heated pool at the home with the spectacular views overlooking the Monteverde Cloud Forest, that it was tough to find inspiration to leave the property to go do other things. The house is beautiful and well equipped with everything you might need. Also pretty rare to find a two bedroom with two king sized beds. The beds are extremely comfortable and we slept soundly. There are automated black out shades too. My sons enjoyed laying in the second story hammock as well. From the infinity pool we saw two Capybaras pass through the yard, tons of birds (many hummingbirds). The downtown of Monteverde which has all kinds of neat shops and wonderful restaurants is 2-3 minutes from the house as well. You could probably even walk to it, although we drove each time. The owner maintained great communication before, during and after the stay. I would 100% recommend this home to anyone."
"What a gem! Cost was totally reasonable- particularly given the quality of the included breakfast. The rooms were clean, the hostel enjoys beautiful views and you get a sense like you are nestled in the mountain. The only downside is that it is a 15 min walk to most restaurants and you need to either drive or take a VERY steep walk up the hill to return from town. That said, lovely spot and worth the walk for the quiet it allows. Wait staff at hotel could not be kinder or more gracious We enjoyed every moment in this special spot."
