"The accommodation is very peaceful at the end of a step private drive and could not have asked for a nicer place to stay had everything we needed. Walk into the village is up and down a steep hill, but that is what you expect from these lovely seaside places. "We were a family of 5 (2 adults, 2 kids under seven and one grandparent) and we stayed at Purley for three nights. The property is well sized and sparingly but tastefully furnished. The kitchen has lots of kids crockery but the board games are ancient or have bits missing so bring your own. The outdoor space at the back needs some love and isn’t very child friendly (brambles, steep uneven steps) but we didn’t spend much time there as the beach is 5 mins walk away. "Was a lovely 2 nights stay..had a superior twin seaview room. Breakfast was lovely. Plenty choice..the hotel could do with a little updating inside and outside. Booked a superior but unsure what was superior about it..unsure what you got extra than a standard. But overall a pleasant stay."

"Excellent location, no parking on site but there is a multi storey car park a short walk away. Rooms are spacious with everything you need and the rooftop bar is good if a little understaffed at busy times. Breakfast was good and the service couldn’t be faulted "

Great hotel, close to shops & restaurants.

"This is a great hotel within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. The room was large and clean, had a large comfortable bed and a good bathroom. It was also very quiet which is a bonus! Staff were very friendly and informative. Parking was included for an extra charge. We will certainly stay there again when visiting Exeter! "
