"We mostly enjoyed our 1 night stay at the hotel, but I could not get much sleep due to the ac/heat unit in the room making very loud banging/gurgling noises in the sink ?through the night whenever it kicked on, ended up having to shut it off and sleep hot (we are from Florida and prefer to sleep cold) . Could have opened the window , but then the midges come in. The sauna is very nice. Gorgeous views of the area."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Guesthouse Brekka. Location is convenient to both the Myvatn area and Husvik. Room was clean and comfortable - loved the horses grazing in the fields nearby. We had a wonderful dinner at their restaurant (you can make reservations ahead of time or at check-in) and the breakfast included in our rate was also delicious. They also offer laundry if staying more than 1 night. Thank you for a lovely stay :)"

This location offered many on-sight amenities like tea kettles, microwaves, dishes, silverware, towels, and a common area. Really great stay for those needing or wanting to stay in between husavik and akureyri. Staff was extremely helpful as well when we were running late for our check in, all we had to do was message them and let them know we were running late and they sent us access instructions. Would definitely stay here again."
