"A happy stay for both us and the dog. Clean and comfortable with all you need. Plenty of hot water and the heating was excellent when needed, the log burner completed the package. Just a little tight on space either side of the bed but not unusual in an older one level cottage. Secure garden for a dog unless it decides to explore the stream at the end of the garden. Ours didn't just enjoyed sitting in the sun with us. Nice to have a view too! "

"Upon arrival we were greeted by reception staff and they were very polite and friendly. They gave us all the information we needed and showed us to our room. The room was neat and tidy and was adequate for our needs. Alex in the 1885 bar was very polite and friendly too. Going into breakfast next morning was lovely. We we were greeted by Lorraine and asked if we would like to a window table. She explained everything in detail and the breakfast menu was superb whither fresh fruit and yogurts and a great selection for breakfast. The poached eggs were perfect but we have to give a special mention for the chef Mick who made the most superb overnight oats with a selection of fruits and almonds it was delicious. Would we stay again, most certainly. Well done everyone for making our stay most enjoyable."

"It's an intriguing mixture of an old opposite-the-station hotel, but with beach bar vibe and student staff, and hang out for some locals, even at 8:00 in the morning. I appreciated the on-site parking and the friendly welcome. Food was good. I missed the advertised Thai breakfast the following morning, but had excellent Pad Thai the previous evening. There's a theme here - the owner/manager is Thai. It's not quite sure what it is. I saw somewhere that it was described as a bunkhouse. No, it's at least a guest house, almost a hotel, though it still has a handful of rooms that are not en-suite. So its identity is confusing, but it was welcoming and comfortable."

"We had a wonderful stay! This one night stay was a last minute trip for me, my husband and 10week baby, the people were amazing and made us feel welcome from storing our milk and ice bags, checking in on me when breastfeeding to see if they could get me anything more, getting fresh cold water and the hotel and guests being understanding when our little newborn was playing up during breakfast. Location was great, 5-10mins drive from Conwy Castle and the marina where we had dinner. We would definitely stay again"
