Beautiful property and helpful hosts!

My husband and I had a fantastic time staying at this property. It is an excellent home base to explore the island. The biggest highlight was the waterfront property. We loved walking down and enjoying the waves crashing against the rocks. Very private and relaxing. Room was the perfect size for a couple. Would stay again!

Great place all around

Lovely hosts who greeted us at the property and explained all about the island. The location is perfect for getting around the island and only 15-20 minutes to good restaurants. The place itself was all we needed for a great stay, clean and a great location.

Fabulous!!

This hidden oasis is perfectly located on the island with lovely outdoor spaces and well-equipped bungalows. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit both on and off the grounds. Paulo was most welcoming and helpful with ideas and recommendations. We will not hesitate to recommend this property to others!!

Central location at a protected rocky beach

Great launching point for exploring the island, 25 mins to Porto Delgado airport. Direct access from the house to a black lava stone beach with natural protected swimming hole. Property has 4 small cabins with porches, “Glammping” with fresh ocean breezes, very relaxing. Friendly host family. Close to Wonderful hot springs, hikes and swimming spots across the island, and wonderful beef and seafood

Calhetas Beach Stay

The location is the best feature, near and with access to the water of Calhetas beach. The accomodation is nice with outdoor area. The inside feels small if you have alot of luggage with you. There is a security gate and friendly hosts. Accessing the eastern side of the island is easy from this location. This is a place to bring your groceries and settle in for dinner and the evening sunset.

A welcome getaway in an inspiring setting

Paolo could not have been a better host. He was helpful and present, without being overbearing. The love he has for his place and his genuine kind demeanor and interest in people makes for a great stay. He went above and beyond, securing reservations, suggesting hikes, and welcoming us to his property. The grounds are incredible and the cabins are exactly as depicted in the materials provided online. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Azores. Location was perfect for exploring the island. Always felt like coming home when the day ended.

Beautiful property in Private Setting by the Sea

The pictures and descriptions do not do this place justice. It's the perfect basecamp for exploring the island. The accommodations are four stand-alone studios, each with a small porch with table and chairs. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need, and everything was clean, comfortable and wonderful. The area is stunning. Watching and listening to the waves crash against the shoreline provides a marvelous escape. I just can’t say enough!

The property is beautiful and the view amazing. Our little house was filled with all the amenities and we used the BBQ several evenings to enjoy our deck. After a day exploring the island it was nice to unwind with a glass of wine and enjoy the ocean view. Paulo is a gracious host that provided valuable advice for our stay on the island. Paulo also convinced this Canadian to get on WhatsApp. Thanks Paulo.

A tranquil, beautiful stay at Azores Oasis!

Our stay at Azores Oasis exceeded our expectations. First of all, Paulo is an excellent host! The property is quiet, peaceful and just a minute walk to beautiful ocean views. Our accommodations were clean offered with every amenity: a small kitchen with coffee maker, dining table, sitting area and a lovely deck with table and chairs, and a bbq overlooking the beautiful gardens and well kept outdoor spaces. If we had a question, Paulo was quick to answer via Whatsapp. He also set us up with a rental car for the week. Overall, Azores Oasis is located very close to Riberia Grande and was a great location for seeing all parts of the island. We were sad to leave, but look forward to returning again. 10/10 for Paulo and his family for making our stay so memorable and amazing. Obrigada!

Excellent Stay

I had a great time at Paulo’s property. The bungalow was charming, clean, with an excellent view of the beach at the end of the property. Central to lots of the attractions on the island, but away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Paulo helped me with my car rental and answered all my questions during my stay. I absolutely recommend this place

A bit of paradise on Sao Miguel

Our experience at this property could not have been better. From the well-appointed, extremely comfortable bungalows, to the gorgeous setting on a small peninsula jutting out into the ocean, It provided a soothing retreat after a day of taking in the island sights. Equally delightful was just spending time on the grounds, enjoying the surf, the hot tub, and beach. Added bonuses were the itinerary Paulo provided as a guide to the many beautiful places on the island, and his warmth and helpfulness thoughout our stay. We'd return again!

Oasis in Sao Miguel

We really enjoyed our stay. Paulo was so helpful with recommendations for activities and restaurants. He picked us up from the airport and also arranged a car for us for the week. When we were leaving, we just dropped our car off and were shuttled to the airport free of charge. Paulo’s property is quiet and absolutely beautiful. You can walk down to chairs that are by a hot tub and look over the Atlantic Ocean. There is even a path to the beach. We loved our stay and will definitely be coming again.

Perfect place to be!

Very exklusive and nice location, 4 tiny houses on the whole area. Nice view and sleeping with the sound of Atlantique. Jacuzzi with the best view! If it is possible, rent the "bubble"! The tiny houses have all what you need. Kitchenette, bathroom, veranda- everything is fine. Paulo and Anabel are very nice and friendly people. We rented a car via Paulo, best choice. We will defintly come back!

Fabulous!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is in a very good location for exploring the island, extremely well equipped, clean and situated in a huge stretch of land that extends onto the beach, which is only a few minutes walk away. The beach is great for snorkelling, even in the shallow water near the shore. Paula is absolutely lovely, happy to help in any way she can. She showed us brilliant places that we would never have found on our own and when she took us to get fresh fish from the fishing boats, it was one of our boys' holiday highlights! Overall, we highly recommend this house.

Lovely home

We just returned from a week in Sao Miguel. We loved staying at Josie's home , it was so comfortable and had everything we needed. What a great help it was for us to be met at the airport by Miguel. We also enjoyed having a lovely assortment of food waiting for us since we were quite tired after a long flight. The location and access to the ocean is wonderful. We took a day tour with Miguel and enjoyed that thoroughly. He is so knowledgable about Sao Miguel making the tour one of the highlights of our trip. You will love staying at Josie's home. Thanks so much for Josie to all your attention to details and you quick responses to ALL our emails.

A wonderful place to stay!

This is wonderful place to stay while enjoying the island. The home is neat and clean with all the amenities you might need to cook at home or enjoy the beach! The description and pictures of the property are very accurate. The staff is very welcoming-from making your reservation to meeting you at the airport to being available for questions during your stay they are available to help and truly want guests to have a great time. You definitely want to rent a car and bring maps as the island is so fun to explore-everything is well signed, but maps are very helpful. We particularly enjoyed working with DD at Azores Adventure Islands-kayaking at Sete Cidades and doing a guided hike. The residents of Sao Miguel were universally kind and welcoming-English is widely spoken. Thank you Josie and staff for helping is have a wonderful trip!

Authentic and Romantic!

This rental property surpassed all of our expectations. The cottage is very warm and cozy, it has everything you could ever need, it is spotlessly clean, well maintained and includes a very lovely lady and her family who will take excellent care of you. We enjoyed being able to walk down to the ocean each morning and evening, sitting in the sun on the terrace and the delicious dinners prepared by Estrela, which we ate by candlelight. We have stayed in many VRBO properties, but this would have to be one of our favorites. We choose this property because of its excellent reviews and the opportunity to have authentic meals cooked for us. We were not disappointed! A big "THANK YOU" goes to Estrela and her family for all the TLC they showered on us during our stay. Their kindness and hospitality will always be remembered and is really what make this vacation home extra special.

Wonderful Stay

Our family of four had a wonderful week long stay at this property! Paula met us promptly at the airport and escorted us back to the house and prepared some wonderful welcome snacks for us and also delicious welcome meals as well- one for the adults and one for our children. Everything was delicious. She was very helpful and gave us a nice tour of the property. We happened to run into her at the local grocery store during the week and she came back into the store with us to help us find a few items we wanted to pick up! The house was very clean and equipped with everything you could need for your stay- and lots of nice special touches like fresh flowers. Having a washer and dryer was wonderful for us as we were hiking every day and getting very muddy! We would not hesitate to stay there again if we ever make it back to Sao Miguel! Peaceful and simple with gorgeous views

We really enjoyed our time at Paulo's place. The property is well-maintained and peaceful (we had the garden view with flowers and birds). And the best part is the deck overlooking the ocean - complete with a hot tub. Each of the 4 'tiny houses' come with a private front porch / deck. The unit is simple and has everything you need: Storage and closet space Kitchenette Dining and living space combo Bed with built-in lights and storage Bathroom with shower Oscillating floor fan Privacy curtains WiFi The location is good, just a short drive in either direction for restaurants or groceries. Paulo offers laundry pickup and delivery during the week. Paulo's directions and suggestions for places to visit and things to do really helped. And he was easily available through WhatsApp to connect during the day. We would recommend his place and will stay there again.
