I stayed here for 4 nights total and the staff were overall not the friendliest. Most could not speak English either. They just shrug their shoulders and said they did not know to questions. The carpet in my room was not the cleanest. The room was quiet overall. I would not stay here again. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for.

Our corner room had 3 huge windows and lots of floor area. Neighborhood was quiet even though we were only 2 blocks from the daily open-air market. Old town was a 10 minute walk. Breakfast was awesome including yogurt, muesli, cheese, meat, pastry, coffee, porridge, etc Highly recommended!

Unfriendly reception at arrival. Better in restaurant (evening). Breakfast buffet not worth mentioning. Good location not far from old city. Room could need an update but the bed was good, the room had hot water, heating and a TV that worked. At the price the quality was more or less what you could expect.

Great stay at the hanza just a 5 minute walk from the bus station, only 15 minutes max to the centre. Hotel room was spacious and clean, a little dated but completely fine. Breakfast was a bonus ontop of the already great price for the hotel, couldnt recommend enough. Staff are also very helpful and welcoming :) As a side note: There is a tourist tax to pay at the hotel which is standard. For my 3 day stay it was €2

Staff was super nice and helpful. Room was nice and clean, nothing fancy. Pub downstairs was a good plus. Breakfast was not excellent but not bad either. Cups and glasses were missing all the time, maybe you could buy like 20 pieces more each so customers wouldn't have to wait for them. Cleaning tables was super fast. I was getting my coffee and meanwhile someone cleaned my table and i lost my seat :D

The hotel is located right beside one of the biggest buildings in Riga so it's easy to get your bearings if you're walking. It's VERY close to Old town and all the markets. And there is a nice restaurant right in the hotel.
