My room was old style chic , equipped with AC and even a fan! Pillows and mattress were comfy. Staff was extremely kind and the included breakfast excellent. The pancakes or crepes were superb . It is a cosy boutique hotel in the historical centre close to Riga Landmarks I recommend it

Monte Kristo Hotel

The Monte Kristo hotel is located in the old town and walking distance to all attractions. We were greeted warmly by the girl at the front desk. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The breakfast had a variety of items. Our only complaint about the Hotel Monte Kristo is how dated it is. It really could use a good renovation. The carpets were quite dirty and old and the room seemed very gloomy due to the dark colours and design of the curtains and bedspreads.

Excellent location, but avoid in hot season

Superior location for old town, central market, shopping, restaurants and public transportation to airport and beaches. The conditioning is very noisy and inadequate in power so if you are at all sensitive for noise and hot room at night, this may be not correct choice. Breakfast was satisfactory in this price range.

Monte Cristo

An excellent location at the edge of the old town and close to the new part. The breakfast was very good. Very easy check in and the room was ready when we arrived

This hotel is right in the centre of Riga and very close to the No.22 bus stop that goes to the airport. It is just a few mins walk to the Central market and all the delights of the Old Town, It's quirky and the rooms are dated but there was everything you needed including good WiFi. Downstairs in a cellar type area, they serve a good breakfast, and in the evening there is a good restaurant menu, very reasonably priced
