My mom and I stayed the weekend here and really loved it. The cabin was beautiful, just as pictured. Everything was clean, check in and out process was easy and clear instructions. We plan on coming back in the future again for a longer stay.
We loved our stay here! Cute, cozy, and well equipped. Would recommend a truck or SUV for the lane but we were in a truck and just fine. It was peaceful and clean and we would definitely stay again!
Stayed while hiking nearby. House was clean and very functional. Love the front porch with swing and the hot tub. Host was super responsive and helpful. Would recommend
Our family really enjoyed our stay and especially loved the hot tub, BBQ and fire pit. The laundry, dishwasher and free WiFi were bonuses, since quite a few other local listings don't include those amenities. The location was great and very close to the Luray Caverns and Zoo. Very happy with the host and the property!
We had a great time coming here with our two kids for a quick getaway. The house is not too far from Luray, but is so peaceful and quiet. All the amenities were as described. Thank you for a wonderful trip!
Very welcoming and relaxing. Location is perfect for exploring, close to Luray and Shenandoah National Park.
Also, night's by the fire pit was so much fun, We will have many wonderful memories from our time there. Our host was great, too.memories f
We had a great family time at this beautiful cabin. Our children loved it. Jackie was very friendly and easy to reach out. Bit away from skyline drive but close to Shenandoah River State Park. Everything was within the drive of 15-30 mins. The check out policy had almost everything to clean so we did clean as per checklist though VRBO charged 100 as cleaning fee. Rest all was amazing .
This is a great house to get away. My husband and I came to visit the Shenandoah National Park. Luray Caverns are a must. There are places to eat dinner in the area and the kitchen is equipped to cook. Hot tub was fabulous and because there isn’t a lot of light pollution, you can see the Milky Way!!
Turtle Rock Cabin provided the perfect setting for a relaxing weekend escape. The cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms were much appreciated, and the large windows offered an impressive view. The night sky was stunning, and we took great pleasure in roasting s'mores by the fire pit while admiring the stars. We will certainly return.

This place is amazing. The property gives you privacy and is absolutely beautiful. There’s a small nature trail behind the house that our kids loved exploring. There’s a local bunny that comes to eat grass and a couple horses next door. They’re all calm and sweet. The stars at night are amazing out back. The cabin is beautiful and spacious.
This place exceeded our expectations by far. It was immaculate and well stocked. The gorgeous cabin and yard were perfect for our weekend getaway! We got to have a nice relaxing fire out back and also got to watch a storm from the front porch swing! We went to Luray Ceverns and also Skyline drive. Our weekend was absolutely perfect!
Everything was perfect. We did have 1 issue and Jackie had it resolved within 15 minutes, no big deal. I have no complaints at all! This property is beautiful, quiet, clean, and the hot tub is the icing on the cake. Thank you!
This cabin was so cute and the location is very close to Luray. We were a party of 4 women doing our annual girls weekend. The cabin was as described with nice amenities. We enjoyed the fire pit out back and had a family of deer visit us daily, along with other cool wildlife. It was vey peaceful. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful place with us.
We loved our stay. The large windows allow for great bird-watching. Very comfortable accommodations. The house feels like it is in the middle of nowhere (which I love) even though it is actually pretty close to grocery stores, restaurants, etc...The area in general is beautiful.
The only thing I did not like (which the owner would have little, if any, control over) was that the road the house is on has a lot of potholes. Make sure you take your time going down that road.
This is by far one of our favorite Vrbo homes so far. Very clean and cozy! The furniture is fantastic and the mattresses are firm and supportive. We had almost everything we needed in the kitchen to cook our Thanks meal and the knives were wonderfully sharp!
FYI for future guests: The listing says heat is from the electric fireplace so we brought extra blankets thinking the bedrooms would be cold, but there is central heat and the fireplace is just decorative as far as we could tell.
We definitely hope to stay here again soon!
We ended up getting there after dark but the directions were spot on and found the cabin immediately. It was clean and smelled so fresh. Everything you need in the kitchen, we never had to eat out. Beautiful night skies. Hot tub was clean and warm. We got to pet the horses, so friendly. I miss it already, we can’t wait to visit again. Next time for longer!
We spent that odd week between Christmas and New Years where you never know what day of the week it is at Turtle Rock Cabin. It was relaxing and exactly what was needed.
We played games, relaxed in the hot tub, and visited local sights. Unfortunately the weather was too wet for a fire and too cloudy for star gazing. Seeing a deer family moat mornings and visiting the horses next door made up for the poor weather.
We had an issue with the TV and the host quickly resolved it.
The gravel road leading to the cabin has lots of pot holes and bumps, so just drive slow and make your way around them carefully.

Mixed feelings
The cabin itself was in a nice, secluded area. However, 1 night a pitbull showed up while we were sitting on the porch and other night a german shephard showed up. We didn't stay out long enough to see if they were friendly or not. On 2 nights a neighbor was doing target shooting which was a bit unnerving as there is only a tree line seperating the homes. When we arrived it was 85 degrees and the ac had not been turned on and it took a good 6 hours for the cabin to cool down. Along with that we had to make the beds, the sheets and pillow cases were in a clear plastic bag as was all of the towels, thought that was odd. The kitchen was well stocked but if you go make sure to take your own personal care items.
