The staff is the selling point

I had a good stay at Contemporâneo. It had all of the basic needs of cleanliness, breakfast, hot water, and an accessible location. Comfortable but without frills. The staff was very helpful and extremely friendly. I appreciated their advise, guidance, and giving me their personal what's app if I needed anything.

Ótima localização e bar animado

Adorei ficar hospedada nesse hostel. O café da manhã é honesto, o banheiro limpinho, o hostel é super bonito, o bar é movimentado (tem um happy hour muito massa na quinta), e a localização é ótimo. Como pontos negativos eu listaria as camas superiores no treliche que são MUITO altas e o fato dos quartos ficarem abertos.

Não foi bom!

Não foi um boa experiência!!! Fiquei em um quarto minusculo com 2 triliches,sendo que para chegar na minha cama que era a mais alto, eu tinha que praticamente escalar!! Bairro muito barulhento, limpeza fraca!! De bom apenas a simpatia da recepção e a localização!!

Bien mais que pour des jeunes fêtards...

Un accueil chaleureux et sympathique par une équipe très serviable, malheureusement la chambre attribuée était minuscule (juste un lit et un petit meuble ou l'on ne pouvait de toute façon rien ranger), du mal même pour ranger les valises que nous devions donc chevaucher pour passer. Juste une ampoule aveuglante au milieu de la chambre et même pas une lampe de chevet (difficile de lire notamment). Ce qui n'est pas précisé dans la présentation de cet établissement c'est que plusieurs soirs par semaine il y a des soirées musicales (qui durent jusqu'aux environs de minuit) rassemblant un grand nombre de personne juste devant l’hôtel, donc pour ceux qui voudraient se reposer tranquillement il faut oublier... A conseiller uniquement aux jeunes voulant faire la fête...

Ótima localização. Ótimo atendimento. Ótimo café da manhã. Preço está na média. Quarto de casal muito bem equipado, porém o box do banheiro não estava lavado direito, o apoio para o shampoo estava quebrado (senhores proprietários, vamos nos atentar a esses pequenos detalhes) e o banheiro tinha mofo, como o quarto ficou fechado por muito tempo o forte cheiro de mofo me deixou com alergia. O Hostel tem um bar, bacana pra beber uma gelada e conversar com os amigos, porém se esse não for o seu caso e você prefere o silêncio peça os quartos dos fundos, pois a balada ficou com som alto até as 23h e depois até quase 1h da manhã o pessoal ficou arrumando as caixas de bebidas e falando alto. Se já não fosse o suficiente, tem um bar muito badalado em frente ao hostel que fica aberto todos os dias até as 6h da manhã, ou seja se realmente você quiser silencio pegue somente os quartos dos fundos.

Muito bom! Melhor hostel que ficamos até hj! Super indico! Alguns dias tem uma festa na frente do hostel, mas acaba as 22h e depois tudo tranquilo. Nada a reclamar, Tudo perfeito!!

Bom para quem não dorme cedo

Bem localizado, atendimento muito bom e limpo, mas no próprio hostel tem um bar, a janela do meu quarto dava pra ele, o som alto da musica do bar rola até altas horas achei uma falta de educação, ou seja hostel ou seja bar, pq ser os dois juntos não dá..

Passei muito rápido, na realidade só dormir. O ruim foi o hostel da frente fazendo bastante barulho, demorei a pagar no sono. Fora isso achei o lugar bem bonito, bem localizado e limpo.

good option in low season

Just one night stay. There was a party going on until ~11pm. Apparently hostel has new owner but I was not told about that. Rooms are in good condition and the street is quiet. Restrooms will be a problem in high season because there is only one for men and one for women. Breakfast is good but not fed up.

I knew hotels in Rio were expensive, but for what I paid to stay in this hotel I expected a lot more. Firstly, the accommodation was poor, everything about it. There were no positives about the room I stayed in. Below my room there is the hostel bar, which seems to stay open till about 4. So if you're planning on sleeping, bring ear plugs as it's very noisy. As well as this, there is the loudest hostel/nightclub opposite Contemporaneo. At times, sleeping was impossible. It was like trying to sleep inside a nightclub. You can't charge the rates you are when you take into account all the negatives. It's unacceptable. Though the majority of the noise comes from the hostel across the road, you can't keep passing the buck and blaming others. Get double glazing. Do something. The only positive is Martha, she's lovely and very helpful. Martha is too good to be working in a place like Contemporaneo.
