A very classy property that has been well maintained. Has a great location across the beach although a bit outside of downtown. It is one beach down from Ipanema. The food was mediocre at best but average for Brazil where they don't season or even use salt. The free breakfast is extensive but bland.

Please read until the end. -The staff at the front desk was very pleasant & spoke great English. housekeeping also did a great job daily. I got sick & the room service frequently brought up more tea upon request. -The property is beautiful and provides amazing beach views as well as views of the biggest favela. They have a nice gym, & spa as well as a beautiful elevated “lawn”. The pool is also decent. Honorable mention, the restaurant on the roof is stunning, with great drinks & nice food. I recommend the salmon. The bar outside was okay. My drinks were constantly made with extra lemon. They have live performances from a dj or pianist every now & then. -Food: I included free breakfast in my booking and it was worth it. They have many options that change through the week and a live chef that makes the best omelettes daily. There was also a detox juice that tasted amazing lives up to its name. Now.. my ⚠️ONLY ISSUE ⚠️ with this property is that on day 5 out of 7, the Water Shut Off. I could not bathe or brush my teeth with the sink or shower. I had to use the water bottles in the fridge and after explaining this to them they STILL charged us for the water. They also eventually stopped answering the phone once they realized the issue. The water came on for an hour and then went off again. If you walk 2 blocks down you’ll see all the locals outside until 4am with the best local dishes for $3-$5usd. The “FUN” aka LAPA is a 30min $15usd uber ride away! The GIG airport is 40min

The architecture is amazing, and the quick access to a beautiful sandy beach is wonderful! The front desk staff was so helpful and friendly - and many of the staff spoke English, which was a huge bonus.

Hotel was safe n quiet No need to bring cash Everywhere in rio accepts credit card even the vendors n taxi Everything in rio is pretty cheap Don't need a rental car bcuz it's no parking at hotel and taxi is really cheap to get around $10-$20us$ can bring you pretty much everywhere Free breakfast was completely trash I'm guessing that's why it's free Dinner included was repetitive not good Better to go out and eat food But hotel was really clean n smell good all the time

El hotel es hermoso, su infraestructura increíble y el personal de lujo. Lo unico a mejorar es que tardan 35-40 minutos en traer algo a la habitación, por ej una toalla. Aun que la verdad, nada va a cambiar mi experiencia extraordinaria con ustedes! creo que sus instalaciones son preciosas, super updated y con variedad en el desayuno. El personal es inmejorable, realmente siempre predispuestos a ayudar, no recuerdo sus nombres (perdon) pero la chica de recepción del dia que llegue y el mozo de la pileta hicieron la diferencia con servicio y buen trato. Totalmente recomendable, es un hotel que no pueden perderse…💖

The room itself was nice and had great views with very close proximity to the beach, however, both check in and check out was incredibly long and inefficient. Customer service was not great and the food at the restaurants were horrendous. Breakfast buffets was fine but very limited options for vegetarian/ non dairy. Also had to contest charges to receive Expedia reward benefits for free beverages. I probably would not stay here again for the price paid.

This hotel in Brazil stands out as one of my favorites. The staff consistently exhibits exceptional attentiveness and kindness. The housekeeping team is unfailingly friendly and accommodating. Notably, the bed provides a super comfortable sleep, and the breakfast is also quite delightful. Highly recommended!

If you like good Architecture...then you picked the right place! This was designed by the same individual who designed most of Brasilia and the United Nations Headquarters in NYC! The food and service was excellent! The beach was right across the street...and great shopping a block away. I would rate it the best facility overall by far I have ever experienced!

Hotel is amazing. Large rooms and public spaces. Very quiet and safe. The issues are room condition could be better (maintenance and cleaning), HVAC has no auto nor temperature settings. So it will get too cold. Phones are useless. Rarely someone answer the phones when you dial 0 or 9. Staff is very nice. But clearly hotel needs to hire more people and improve in room amenities: no robes, no body lotion, no laundry bags/slips, no hotel directory.

After checking in, I went to my room and noticed the lock piece from above was missing the hook part and immediately let the front desk know. For safety purposes I wanted to have more than just one lock. They gave me the option of a new room or for maintenance to come in and fix the door of the room I booked. When I went to go check the other room, it had the same problem. I thought it was odd that the metal piece was broken off, so I requested them to come in and fix it. The door locks was my only issue. The rest was pleasant, a lot of food options for breakfast and dinner. At the front desk they also provide you with information many excursions. The view from my room was beautiful.

Rooms lovely, views excellent. No free water. $9 R per tiny bottle. Not enough lounge chairs/umbrellas. If you don’t secure them by 10:00 am you’re out of luck. We stayed 10 days and purchased food every day but they would not give me any of the Expedia perks you advertised.

The property was overall good. The do not have face towels in the rooms. My pillows cases were dirty upon arriving and after calling to the front desk, they were not changed until the next day when housekeeping came. Staff was very friendly. Pool area is nice. The jacuzzi is blocked off with no access and I was really looking forward to that. The food was okay. After eating dinner once there I opted to eat at other places the remaining days. The hotel is a few minutes from “action” but I liked that until it was time to find dinner lol. My suite had a beautiful view and the soaking tub was amazing. I would still recommend this hotel.

Rooms are huge with incredible view , the staff is so friendly and kind , they helped me a lot with all my activities and transportation.The beach is just in front and feel super safe . I highly recommand that hotel.
