Rockaway Beach

I had stayed in this Red Lion multiple times about 10-20yrs ago and it was such a lovely hotel. I think that just exacerbated my recent stay. The hotel is in such a great location but it hasn't been updated since the last time I was there. Bed was ok, I can't say it was uncomfortable but I certainly didn't look forward to it after a long day. The sheets are cheap, and while it wasn't the end of the world, there weren't any outlets on one side of the bed so you had to charge your phone elsewhere. It was clean-ish, as long as you didn't look too close. It was just a really sad sight to see what used to be such a beautiful hotel look like a washed up prom queen. We booked through Expedia and we paid for breakfast but the hotel no longer serves breakfast. I'm sure the effort isn't worth trying to get my money back from being overcharged by Expedia but just be aware they don't have any of those amenities.

We had a room that worked great for our family of 4 adults!

The only thing that would be would be that the balcony was dirty and neglected, with cobwebs and little garbage.
