This property is listed as "Charming" and made it sound like it would be an ideal place for a family, it is not. As stated by the host, guests are mainly male workers passing through or working in the area.
We were 2 adults and 3 children staying here.
When the toilet got plugged at 11pm, he did come and fix it, after arguing with me on the phone. I was then charged for 1 hour which he didn't tell me would be the case. We do not appreciate his lack of honesty and integrity.
He told me I was "picky" when I told him that he may want to talk to his cleaners as the toilet didn't look like it had ever been cleaned around and behind it, and there was lots of dust and debris by the walls and under the beds in the bedrooms. This is when he also told me that he was a "super host and that his guests were mostly men working in the oil fields". This may explain the foam noise canceling panels on the walls in the living room and all of the bedrooms.
The house is very cheaply decorated there is one coat of paint in the kitchen that barely covers the cabinets and walls. There is foam tiling in the bathroom and kitchen, on the floors, walls, and everywhere in the house.
I have never had a host tell me he was a "super host" and asked to give him a 5 star rating, twice. I have stayed in many properties and have never experienced anything close to this.
Each room has an A.C. unit, don't expect a good sleep as they're in place with a cloth cover you'll be woken early by traffic.
