`Hillside Haven` might be Creekview Cabin’s best-kept secret. You’re guaranteed to be blown away by the space, style, comfort, and amenities that lie within. Offering private acreage to explore, and close proximity to public trails, it’s a great fit for any family or group. Located on 150 acres of private land, with marked trails, rock climbing crags, caves, and even a couple of waterfalls. While the Gorge can get crowded during peak seasons, these trails are exclusive to our Creekview guests.

- Hillside Haven is located on our ‘Creekview’ property offering 150+ private acres right in the heart of Red River Gorge. Several developed hiking trails and climbing routes on property.
- Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen (standard coffee maker and grinder, blender, and microwave), WiFi, private hot tub, Smart TVs with AT&T Now, charcoal grill, outdoor fire pit, and washer/dryer!
- Sleeping Arrangements: Bedroom 1: Full Bed | Loft: Queen Bed (Bunk beds no longer available)
- One full bathroom - SLEEPS 4 ONLY
- We provide fresh linens and towels. We also include essential starter packs to make your stay easier! (Starter packs include: 2 rolls of toilet paper, 2 rolls of paper towels, 3 shampoos and conditioners, 3 bar soaps, 3 dishwasher pods, 3 laundry pods, 3 trash bags, and 1 sponge.) Firewood can be purchased on-site which is self service and self-pay.
- Please Note: should be accessible with a 2-Wheel drive vehicle (the steep incline has been paved and is easily accessible). Limited parking space; vehicles exceeding 2 will need to park at the local park and ride and carpool to the cabin. Trailers prohibited.
- Prime Red River Gorge location - Close to hiking, horseback riding, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, zip lines, sight-seeing, restaurants, and much more
- Within walking distance of Big Boulder, Cozy Creek, Soul Sister, Creeksong, Dreamcatcher, Angel`s View, Dreamscape.
- We do have camera surveillance on property. There is a camera on a pole barn facing the roadway leading to each cabin and on the well house facing the pole barn. A camera at Soul Sister facing the front gate of the property, and at Big Boulder on a porch support covering the hill and on the garage facing the road intersection.

- No refunds are permitted due to weather. No exceptions. Winter weather (snow/ice) and flooding can occur in our area. You should be given the option to add Trip Insurance at booking check-out.
- Please be aware that no refunds are permitted for cancellations on holiday rates, which includes but is not limited to, New Year’s, Valentine`s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Perfect cabin and location for exploring/hiking

We loved the cabin and had a great experience seeing and exploring the Red River Gorge region. Also, there are good food/dining options nearby. Hope to return again in the future.

Awesome Weekend Get Away!

Long weekend stay

The cabin was cute, comfy and clean. Would definitely stay again. The cabin was somewhat private. You can definitely hear road noise and people from the other cabins when outside. The only issues were not all jets worked in the hot tub and the outdoor utensils were dirty. Whoever roasted marshmallows did not clean the skewers.

Short Stay

My wife and I chose this property for a quick get away from our busy life. This property was nice to stay in and suites our needs nicely. House was clean. If you are not familiar with well water, it does have a sulfer odor and can be strong. Other than that, we were very satisfied with the stay. It was great.

The property is well maintained and clean. Pretty hilly terrain. Parking is a little tight. The digital electric rangetop is frustrating to operate and would frequently just stop working after 3-4 minutes. I appreciated the security of the front gate being closed all night. I would definitely visit the property again.

Beautiful and convenient location

We loved our stay at the Hillside Haven. My son and I stayed here and it was a great location for Rock Climbing — we had Jarek with Southeast Mountain Guides and we were so close to so many amazing sites. Some great restaurants super close by… we checked out Red Point BBQ, Rockhouse, and Miguel’s. Thumbs up across the board. The kitchen was also well appointed for a couple of meals at home as well! The cabin was awesome! Super clean and nice little touches throughout! As other reviewers noted, all of the water in the area had a slight odor… but honestly, just stock up on drinking water and you hardly notice it after a day or two. Bottom line, would definitely stay here again next time we’re in the red! Highly recommend!

Amazing location

This place was perfect for our mini vacation during spring break. We did explore some other trails outside the property but honestly, there is plenty to explore on the 150 acres. Granddaddy falls and Angels falls are spectacular. We had a great time with our kids exploring the property and playing in the creek. The cabin is cozy and clean. Yes the water has an odor but you get used to it. We also brought our own water as we had read previous reviews about the water. The only downside is you can hear the road noise when cars drive by so if you are looking for more isolation/quiet, you will need a pick a cabin further back. Overall though this place is a gem and we highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a place in Red River Gorge!

Adequate

Needs some TLC, the springs in the couch are completely shot, pots and pans are worn out, plastic dishes are flaking from being microwaved, one main overhead light in the kitchen was out, the other one had a big kool aid stain on it. Big signs mandating not to run the water while taking a shower and other tasks, recommendations to wash dishes before using, followed by “Bon Appetite”(?). Bathroom sink and Tub missing stoppers, no way to take a bath. Overall just an adequate experience, definitely didn’t feel welcomed.

We had a great long weekend with our kids at Hillside Haven! The property is incredible with trails, waterfalls, and caves to explore. It turns out, the cabin had been renovated but the VRBO listing wasn’t yet updated, so it was nicer than the photos. The Property Management company was reachable and responsive when our door code didn’t work initially and when we needed a map of the trails on property. The hot tub was also very nice and worked as expected. You definitely have privacy at the cabin, though there is road noise, but it didn’t bother us at night. The location is great, being very central to everything you might want to do at the State Park and RRG. Despite all of these positive things, our family wouldn’t book this cabin again. The issue with the listing not being up to date is the beds are different than listed. The listing said 1 Queen, 1 Full, and 2 twin beds. We arrived and found only 2 full beds, a couch that was not a pull out, and 2 chairs with ottomans in the loft. Our boys are big enough that they can’t/wont sleep together in a full size bed, so my 6’2” teenager ended up sleeping in a big chair with a long ottoman in the loft. I felt awful for him! I will say, my husband and I also didn’t sleep well in a full size bed. This was super disappointing, as we hiked a lot and were exhausted and needed good sleep. Again, this cabin is incredibly nice, but we would not book again, as we didn’t get what was advertised.

Little things add ip

The location was terrific! Unfortunately, after a long drive and our car be goal for evening being a glass of wine and hot tub, the “hot tub” was at 64. Maintenance really should have refilled it a day before our arrival, not hours… however on one jet (semi) worked the whole time so…. The bed upstairs was solid and comfy too bad the stairs up are pretty steep and the only bathroom downstairs, we chose to sleep on the creaky metal bed on main floor. Maybe offer same comfort downstairs? Finally, the 2 wash cloths provided were extremely worn and rough… no wonder, they had “CLEANING” written on them. Local restaurants were great, hiking In the area is top notch! Get firewood from an outside source or bring it with you, the wood offered on site barely charred. We probably would not return solely because the little mosses that added up.
