The reason I chose Rolleville was because it was the closest to the swimming pigs island which I wanted to see. There is a company that picks you up from any point on Exuma Island called 4 C's adventure. This is a truly wonderful albeit very expensive tour. I rented a car from Tony Nixon who I found out works for Elvis and Marianne who own the Swimming Pigs resort. The car had a left front wheel that needed shocks according to Elvis, but almost threw me off the road when I hit a crack in the road. The interior was stained, and the windshield wipers were ragged. There is a restaurant at the resort that is open 11-4 pm which is good but there are a million flies around the food. This could be an island issue however. No breakfast within miles, I finally found a restaurant Eva's place, that is about 6 miles away that serves breakfast and opens at 7. There were flies coming out of the sink in the bungalow which in itself is in good condition and has a beautiful beach, probably just needed a good cleaning. The final straw came when I called Tony about the reservation for my pig island tour. He told me the day before it had been cancelled due to "inclement weather". I scrambled to find another tour as that was my main reason for going out there and found 4 C's which was fantastic. I found out from 4C's there was no cancellation for inclement weather. My suggestion stay in town, Peace and Plenty is a good choice as it has it's own restaurant. The sand fleas bite!!
