"The three of us have all finally retired! We decided to escape to Shipshewana. The cottage was everything we could have wanted and more! Close to town and easy to get to nearby towns as well. Cottage was fully equipped in supplies. Carla was quick to respond to all my questions- we had some car problems and she gave suggestions to a friendly neighborhood auto service company. Would love to stay again!"

"This place and town were absolutely precious! Came up to go antique shopping and went to so many cute places! There was SO MUCH good food! Everywhere we ate was beyond delicious. The whole stay was everything we wished for! Thanks for being incredible hosts. The house has everything you need!!!!"

"The 4 parking spaces up top that belonged to the house were filled with cars from people renting the house next door. Had to park down the drive by the side door. Walking into the house there was an OVERWHELMING smell of gas & sulfer. Opened windows to air it out but the smell never went away. The set up of the house was really cute with a nice living space downstairs. It was hot upstairs in the bedrooms even with the air set to 66 so we slept downstairs on the couch. "We were very happy with our stay. While the property looked like a cabin from the outside, it was very modern on the inside. It was furnished very nicely and the kitchen had all the dishes and utensils that we needed. The cabin is located on a main street in Shipshewana where many, many Amish residents pass by in their buggies. Our favorite pastime was sitting on the front porch and hearing the clip clop of distant horses hooves and waiting for them to pass by pulling a carriage. We will...

"We loved our stay at this property. It was a great country setting and very comfortable. The furniture was like new and very comfortable. Many extras like coffee and tea. They provided soaps, shampoo, and plenty of bath towels and wash cloths. The owner checked on us to make sure we were happy with everything and wanted to know if we needed anything. This house is very convenient to all of the attractions and shopping in Shipshewana. You can't go wrong staying here. I would highly recommend this...

"My husband and I stayed here for a little getaway for a couple days. Property was very clean and owners thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Felt cozy but there was plenty of room to spread out for a family. Such cute decor. Kayaks and paddleboat available although we didn't use them as well as a firepit. Close drive to Shipshewana. Secluded and private, close to Amish country and lakes all around! Owner was very easy to reach if we had concerns, check in was a breeze. Great place...

"The house was in good shape and well suited for a large group. We had 10 that slept comfortably. Property manager responded promptly. Some minor misinformation on the VBRO site (likely just out of date) such as an incorrect WiFi password and sending the door code the day prior to arrival, but these were minor things that were resolved promptly with no issue. Overall an enjoyable experience and a nice setting on the lake. Some nearby gunshots in the early morning hours both days could be heard......

"Upon arrival the house was smaller than expected but after we checked in it was perfect . Everything worked as it should and there were no issues the whole time we were there . The owner supplied free firewood for the late nights outside while the deck at the waterfront and large docking area for the boats was appreciated much as well .
