"We had a really good stay at El Sano Banano overall. The highlight was definitely the staff — everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special shoutout to Miguel at the restaurant, who was our favorite server. He went above and beyond and made our experience even better. The hotel itself was clean and well-kept, and the location is fantastic — just a short walk to the beach and right in the heart of town, which made everything super convenient. That said, there are a few smaller things that could be improved to make the stay even better. The WiFi in the room was quite slow, and the in-room safe wasn’t working. The window coverings are bamboo-style and let in a lot of light at night and early morning, plus they don’t offer much privacy from the street. At the restaurant, the food was good but a bit limited — the only protein option available was shredded chicken. For the complimentary breakfast, only one coffee is included with no refills, which felt a bit restrictive. Housekeeping could also be improved, as our dirty towels weren’t replaced during room cleanings. The room itself is fairly basic — no TV or fridge — which may matter depending on your preferences. Water pressure in both the shower and sink would occasionally cut out for about 20 seconds before coming back, which was a bit frustrating. We also weren’t able to get early check-in, and our room wasn’t ready until about 10 minutes after the official check-in time, even though there appeared to be other "

"Yes Adrian was great. Stand out is the pool and area. Only downside was toilet paper was from a gas station and no duvet on the bed. Otherwise very great relaxing place. "

"We had a beautiful time at Casa Mas Mananas! 6 adults (We 2 middle aged parents, 2 young adult sons, and 2 of their friends). Beach and pool were the highlights - thank goodness for outdoor shower! Boys enjoyed the hammock in the main house. We enjoyed the privacy A/C in the bedrooms. Everything else is outdoors - morning visits by scarlet macaws and evening chirps from the geckos were endearing. As a previous review states: this place may not be for you if 'glamping' is not your vibe. Beetles and moths fly right into outdoor kitchen as you prepare evening meals. Secure all food each night in provided locked cabinets or else the visiting raccoon may make him/herself a snack. We found all of it enchanting - the wildlife, the view, the cool off spots. The property manager, Cori, is super helpful and cleaning staff come daily. Wonderful! Note that it takes a good 3.5 hours from airport outside Liberia. Site is remote but grocery store is only 20 minutes away. We visited Montezuma Waterfalls, rented ATVs, enjoyed massage onsite via Tango Mar hotel. Boys visited bar and restaurant there. We had pizza delivered from Tambor for an easy meal our last night - very convenient. We did not take advantage of tour packages or snorkeling at Isla Tortuga. Next time!"
