Cozy, easy, affordable

Very nice place. We only had one night and didn’t try the breakfast so I can’t speak to that. One annoyance was that we booked through Hotels.com where it was posted saved and breakfast. But it is actually a Danish hostel meaning you need to bring your own bedding. This was not clear and not a problem but was an additional charge that we weren’t expecting. It’s never good to have an extra charge applied when checking out. Always feels like a downer.

My first experience of a hostel. Nice comfy and clean room and good value. Not en-suite but the loo and shower were very good. Unfortunately, we were assigned a room in between the kitchen/dining room and shower: too noisy, and I don’t think it should be used as a guest room unless in an emergency and guest advised beforehand

En oase på Rømø

Rare værter i en smuk gammel kommandørgård. Til morgenmaden fremtrylles lækkerier lavet på stedet med kærlige og kyndige hænder, der har kendskab til naturens rigdomme. Herligt. Vi besøgte stedet på efterårsdage, men er sikker på at forår og sommer også vil glæde besøgende. Og så er der ovenikøbet udvalgte dage med sønderjysk kaffebord, der ligner noget af det ypperligste i området.

Wunderschönes ehem. Waalfänger Kapitänshaus mit zwar einfach aber geschmackvoll eingerichteten Nebengebäuden in ruhiger Naturlage und kurzen Wegen zum Watt. Wenn man etwas flexibel ist, bereitet das Nutzen der sauberen Einzelduschen und Toiletten jeweils mit einigen Mitgästen kein Problem. Besonders zu erwähnen ist auch das vielfältige und besondere Frühstück mit viel Selbstgemachtem, das von der Eigentümerin vorbereitetet auch auf besondere Wünsche der Gäste eingehend auch selbst serviert wird. Das sollte sich auf keinen Fall entgehen lassen! Der prächtig mit farblich abgesetzten Holzpanelen und einer unglaublichen Vielzahl historischer holländischer Kachern ausgestattete leider nur hierfür Gästen zur Verfügung stehende Frühstücksraum lohnt schon alleine den Besuch von Poppelgaaden. Wer sich teilweise oder vollständig selbst versorgen möchte, hat hierfür mehrere vollständig ausgestattete Küchen sowie einen Aufenthaltsraum mit Kamin zur Verfügung oder nutzt für einen Apperitiv, einen Sundowner oder ein spätes Glas Wein die Tische und Bänke im Innenhof oder die zu jedem Zimmer gehörende Aussensitzgarnitur. Die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Eigentümer, die ich wegen einer Autoproblematik in Anspruch nehmen musste und durfte, soll hier nicht unerwähnt bleiben. Alles in Allem für ein paar Tage der perfekte Start für einen längeren Urlaub z.B. nach einer Fährfahrt auf Sylt ........länger geht´s mangels akzeptabler Gastronomie auf Römö nämlich nur für Selbstversorger.

STRAORDINARIO - EXTRAORDINARY

L'eccellenza (come il diavolo!) sta nei dettagli...: e in questa location tutti i dettagli dicono un'attenzione costante alla qualità, che rende il soggiorno veramente eccellente. A iniziare dalle comunicazioni pre-check in, che sono inviate nella lingua dell'ospite (e per noi italiani questa è una piacevole e rara sorpresa!!), poi la squisita accoglienza, affabile e disponibilissima, da parte del proprietario (con cambio di camera al momento della consegna della chiave, solo per un 'capriccio' assecondato con gentilezza), e la cura dei piccoli particolari in una camera graziosissima, accogliente e superpulita... tutto veramente perfetto. Deve essere chiaro che non si tratta di un albergo, quindi chi necessita degli standard consueti (e sempre uguali) delle location 'strutturate' qui potrebbe rimanere spaesato... ma chi ama immergersi nella natura e avere la massima qualità in una soluzione davvero particolare adorerà questa soluzione. RACCOMANDATO Excellence (like the devil!) is in the details: and in this location all the details tell a story of constant attention to quality, which makes the stay truly excellent. Starting with the pre-check in communications, which are sent in the guest's language, then the exquisite welcome from the owner and the attention to small details in a cozy and super-clean room ... all truly perfect. It must be clear that this is not a hotel, but those who love to immerse themselves in nature will definitely love this very special solution!

L’accueil était parfait. Très bonne situation et très charmant endroit. Petit bémol : cumulus d’eau chaude insuffisant pour deux personnes, après une journée de vélo et pommeau de douche cassé 😟. Nous recommandons néanmoins cet endroit très agréable !

Et besøg mere værd...

En lille perle på Rømø. Virkelig imødekommende og god service. Fint lille fælleskøkken og fint lille værelse med eget toilet og bad. Stedet summede af liv fra gæsterne på den gode måde. Morgenbuffet kan virkelig anbefales. Lækre økologiske varer og dejlig hjemmebag. Det smagte fantastisk. Leder I efter luxus i ny form, så er dette ikke stedet, men leder I efter luxus i form af autencitet og imødekommenhed og en afslappet stemning, så er I kommet til rette sted. Kommer gerne igen.
