Lovely Traditional Hotel in Røros

I love this hotel situated conveniently on the Main Street of Røros. Their restaurant serves excellent, fresh traditional Norwegian cuisine. The rooms are comfortable and make you feel like you have been transported back to the 1800s, but with modern conveniences.

Røros Vertshuset

We stayed in an old outbuilding that had been converted into two apartments. Roomy and comfortable with a lot of the old charm intact. Very affordable also!
Loved the original flooring and ceiling beams.

Weekend at Røros

A family weekend which was very pleasant. Missed EV charging facilities. Have stayed at Vertshuset multiple times before and have always been satisfied both with location, rooms and food.

Fantastic location in the town and a lovely decorated room in keeping with its history. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we had a few issues. The bed was not good resulting in significant rolling towards the middle. The shower head kept falling and would not stay in place. Great that we had a kettle and coffee/sugar but no milk and no spoons to stir. Breakfast had a limited selection compared to other hotels in Norway and the hot selection was cold by 9am, the same selection was still on offer an hour later. All in all a poor experience

We chose the right place to stay in Røros

All the staff were lovely and friendly. The location was perfect in the middle of the old town, close to what we wanted to do and see. Breakfast was good, dinner was excellent. The beds were comfortable, the shower was good but the doors leaked a little as they didnt close properly. Wifi in the room was very poor but fast in the main building.

Beautiful place! Free parking next to a horse field on one side and stairs straight out to the walking street on the other. Nice staff! Not top notch room standards, but very cosy and clean. Old-fashioned Norwegian nostalgia.

Close to everything for walking to and comfortable

This historic hotel is pleasant and easy to like, in a great location. Being of its' age, it lacked the modern amenities of a newer hotel, such as USB ports for charging our phones and ample outlets, but the spacious room made up for it. We felt safe and slept well in a comfortable bed. The location was the best part, on the main street filled with shops, cafes, and the old church near the top of the hill, plus the old mine nearby, so we walked everywhere.

We had a superior room in "Uldfabriken". It was indeed large - about 30 square meters. But the room sizes varies from 18 - 30. A good kitchen included made it like a studio. Nice wiew over town. But no elevator to rhe second floor.

Første dag fikk vi rom med kloakklukt samt lang trapp opp for å komme til badet, pratet med resepsjonen om lukt å fikk nytt rom uten lukt, men med 140 seng( hadde bestilt 180 med to senger) så det ble ei dårlig med nattesøvnen. God frokost med lokale produkter å fantastisk personale.

Ett anrikt hotell med unika rum i dom gamla byggnaderna som är på innergården. Det är tyst och lugnt. Frukosten har vad man förväntar sig och mer där till. Nära till parkeringen som är gratis. Mycket vänlig personal. Ett hotell som man vill återkomma till när man är i närheten.

Hotellrommene er i gamle hus og man må ta det deretter. Helt ok rom. Middagen i restauranten var veldig bra, helt ok frokost. Det var et fint opphold.

Sentralt og behagelig

Vi bodde i Uldvarefabrikken (med hund) og rommet var pent og reint, samt stille og rolig. Uldvarefabrikken er da også ett av få bygg i området som ikke er i tre, så vær oppmerksom på det dersom man ønsker å bo i trehus. God frokost og hyggelig personale. Gøy med gamle avisartikler på veggene om Uldvarefabrikken, samt kart i vinduskarmen som fortalte litt om hva man kunne se ut av vinduet. Veldig sentralt. Litt knot å finne fram til parkeringsplassen før vi fikk bedre anvisninger fra resepsjonen.
