Great stay

The cabin was great and had everything we needed for the weekend. The sunroom also came in handy to keep our stuff out of the rain. Excellent location as well!

This house was perfectly located and perfect for our mothers/sons getaway. It was a short walk to the beach, neighbors were so nice! I will definitely do this again! Thank you for allowing us to build memories with our kids here!

Enjoyable stay

This cottage had plenty of daytime living space for our family of 5 adults, 2 teens, and a small child. Although not everyone stayed overnight. The double beds were fairly comfortable; however, I would recommend bringing your own pillows if you're particular. The kitchen was nice and well stocked with pots and pans, dishes, etc. We stayed 6 nights and felt it was a good value overall.

Vacation in Higgins

We enjoyed the stay. The only complaints we have was that there were several light fixtures with missing bulbs or burnt out bulbs, there were A LOT of spiders in the home, we killed no less than 8 while we were staying. There were also cobwebs around the legs of the couches that I discovered when cleaning up before we left at the end of the week. The house is advertised as having AC which it does have but not in the bedrooms. I also felt that as a rental, there would have been more care taken on the outside of the home as far as debris in the yard and cleanliness of the outside furniture. We did not use the fire pit or the furniture outside because it was covered in spider webs and bird poop. The kitchen was beautiful and had plenty of what we needed to prepare meals which was so nice, there were plenty of linens and our daughter loved the movie selection. Overall, the stay was nice.

Plumbing issues, no refund, better bring your own portapotty.

My wife and I booked this cabin in January 2022. We arrived late due to traffic. Initially things looked pretty good. The master bed was too firm due to a memory foam mattress that was hard as a board. But after removing it, the mattress was ok. There was a dead mouse on a trap in a closes, but no big deal. Houses are going to have mice. The real problem was when we discovered the plumbing problem. My daughter took a 15 minute shower in the ONLY bathroom. As her shower concluded, water began to build in the tub. Then none of the bathroom fixtures would work. We had to leave, as it was midnight and unlikely to be repaired before one of us required its use. The property owner was very rude about it the next day. Called us liars. Refused to refund our stay. Evolve was not very helpful either. We have been dealing with this problem for 2 1/2 months now, and still don't have a refund. I absolutely do not recommend this site, and though I don't have much experience with them, I am not sure I would recommend Evolve either.

Excellent house for a family weekend!

My husband, son, daughter, and I stayed for a weekend and fell in love with this house! It was spacious, clean, had great amenities, was a short walk to the beach, and had a great deck and fire pit area. We cannot wait to come back and stay longer next time!!

Great place to stay

My family enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, comfortable and larger than I was expecting. There is a nice deck and a fire pit with plenty of seating. It is just a short drive to the state park. We would stay here again.

Great time at the lake

Very nice cottage with room for everyone, the rooms were accommodating and kitchen and living areas were nice, with a kitchen that is pretty well equipped. The only down side was no laundry. The outside area was amazing, between the sunroom, back deck and fire pit, it made it very easy to enjoy the outside. The response time to fix a minor issue was fantastic. The owner was very prompt in making sure everything was good to go again. A great stay, would definitely stay again! :)
