Unfortunately, my stay did not meet expectations.
I booked and paid for a one-bedroom unit with a living room, but upon arrival I was given a studio that was only suitable for one small person. The space was much smaller than advertised.
The property was double-booked, which felt unfair and avoidable. I reached out in advance about the listing but did not receive clarification until the day of arrival. The host offered either a refund or a $10 price difference for the smaller room, but I could not verify the studio listing because it was not available on the site. Since I traveled from the USA for Carnival and there were no other accommodations close to the city, I felt put in a difficult position. I ultimately accepted the refund but was very disappointed with the lack of communication and planning.
During the stay, several outlets worked inconsistently and the hot water was often lukewarm or cold. The host did attempt to fix the issues, but the problems seemed to temporarily resolve only while she was present and then returned afterward.
The unit included only mini soap, towels, and conditioner, and the refrigerator was completely empty.
It was also extremely difficult for drivers to find the home. The house sits on a hill and most drivers could not locate it without detailed directions. I had to use the same drivers repeatedly just so they could find the property.
On a positive note, the exterior of the home is beautiful. However, the inside needs work.
