The Berd Haus was just right for our week-long stay in Roseburg. Comfortable and clean, it was well appointed and located in a quiet neighborhood. The memory foam mattresses were one of the best features and we slept better than we ever have in unfamiliar beds. Gary was great at communicating with us, always quick to respond to our messages. We will definitely keep the Berd Haus on our short list.

Definitely a sweet little place to stay! Close enough to town, and all activities that you would want to do! We even made it to wildlife Safari! The house had everything available that we would need. It was clean and welcoming! Definitely going to see if we can get this place in the future sometime!

This place is very nice. The place is very clean and well maintained. The family had a good time here and we will be back. The location is very good as well. You can get the the store in about a 5 minute drive. The fenced back yard is a nice bonus for children. The neighborhood is very quiet as well.

We absolutely loved everything about this place! It was clean, quiet, and modern. Everything worked as it should. The place is spacious for two and could easily house more. Best of all, we loved the gracious attitude of the host!!! We are already planning a return visit since we have family in the area.

We enjoyed staying at this house for a couple of nights. Everything is immaculate and logically placed. The backyard is a nice place for a glass of wine by the fire. The only issue is that the house is in a neighborhood and it may get noisy when the kids are playing next door

My group of 4 women on a wine tasting weekend absolutely loved this property! It was centrally located to all the wineries, stores, and restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet and inviting. We spent each morning eating breakfast in the backyard, which is beautifully landscaped. Little details such as having spices and cooking oil available were a huge plus! The property owner was quick to answer messages when we had questions. Check-in and out was very easy. We will absolutely stay here again!

Stayed at the house for first three days and liked it so much and asked to add another day Gary was immediate on a response using the messages and added it with 15 Minutes. There was more than enough coffee and even candies left on the counter. I would totally recommend staying here. 5 star experience. Thank you

My daughter & I were in town a couple short days for my son’s NWAC tournament. So glad I opted for a VRBO versus hotel. Couldn’t have loved this home more.
Perfect size for what we needed, the AC a welcome addition. We even used the laundry after being in the sun at the local baseball field all day.
Communication from Gary was fast & he answered a couple questions we had. We even visited the animal safari (highly recommend if you have time).
Thank you again!!

For our summer vacation this year, we decided to visit southern Oregon and found this wonderful home in Roseburg. It was absolutely perfect for our family. The home was centrally located between Crater Lake and the Oregon Coast which were our planned visits this summer. About two hours to the coast, and two hours to Crater Lake. A win win for sure. Rather than making the long trek down in one day from the Southwest Washington/Portland area, we decided to find a nice place in Roseburg. Gary (our contact) was wonderful to work with. He checked in during our stay, and was gracious in shipping my daughter's eye glasses back which she had left there by mistake. The home is very nice, has modern appliances, and the rooms/beds are comfortable. Another bonus is the home has AC which was HUGE as the area was hit with a doozy of a heatwave the week we were there. Do yourself and your family a favor and book this house... we were glad we did!

Our project team travels consistently and we stay in 8 to 10 VRBO's a year. We are very familiar with the range of hosts and variations of homes offered. This property is facilitated by a host that understands hospitality and the home is set up to be a vacation rental. The home is very clean. The living space itself has room for several people to relax and the rooms are not cluttered (to many bookshelves, end tables etc....) The furnishings are either well maintained or recently updated. The appliances are new and most importantly easy to use. The kitchen utensils are new and/or well maintained and set up so that you can cook most any meal without searching through drawers. The beds are comfortable. We did not spend much time in the backyard but the layout including the firepit was well thought out (and of course the yard and landscape was maintained.) Wifi was good, plenty of hot water etc. etc... we enjoyed our stay and would come back anytime.

The house is in an older neighborhood but has been renovated and is exactly as described in the listing. The owner Gary was very quick responding to our messages when we needed assistance and was gracious enough to let us check in early so we could enjoy the holiday with our family.
When entering the home, we immediately noticed the owner left some small snacks and bottled water for everyone in our group. That was a nice gesture and greatly appreciated after a long drive on Thanksgiving day when all the stores and restaurants were closed.
The kitchen had nice cookware and was equipped with most items needed to cook all our meals including some spices and coffee basics.
The beds have memory foam mattresses and plenty of blankets including throw blankets in every room.
The only heat in the house is mounted to the wall in the living room. We used a small fan from the bedroom closet to move the heat down the hall to the bedrooms. This worked great for us since we all like to sleep in cooler rooms while still having warmth in the main part of the house.
There were enough essential items to get you started in your stay including, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags and dishwasher tabs. The owner provided plenty of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, dishwashing soap and laundry soap.
We were so busy with family during our stay that we actually never made it to the back yard so unfortunately I don’t have a review or any input on that part of the home.
I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a “home away from home” in the Roseburg area.

Well maintained place, accomodates 6(third room is 2 single beds). The house is beautiful with a modern look and very well kept ! All facilities available, laundry, dish washing etc but the only drawback is in summers coz none of the rooms have fans or AC. Gary is very quick with responses thus communication is very quick.
P.S - Fabulous home but could use better linens.
