Great location, probably best hotel in Rotorua. Love the milk on tap. Nice gym, excellent TVs that aren't locked down like other hotels. Negatives - valet parking is so expensive that it sits empty, bed not super comfortable, and the lighting setup is bizarre. Can't turn on bathroom light separately to bedroom light, so you'll wake people up.

Dated. Uncomfortable spongy bed. Not business friendly. No proper desk and chair in rooms. Lobby lounge chairs Uncomfortable circa 1980s (had to go down the road to find a quiet comfortable place). Premiere King room only come with Special Access bathroom. Downgraded room to change still charged same amount. New room window squealed in the wind. Was offered a third room for last night, but too late. Shower rose squirts everywhere due to broken connection. Toilet door stays open, no privacy. Breakfast over priced for poor quality (no fried or poached egg service, only offered precooked. No sausages, only undercooked bratwaurst). Double charged for valet parking (about the most expensive valet parking in NZ $59, 9 other 4&5 star hotels in trip, free or $25-$38). I could go on...staff reasonably accommodating and courteous though.

Beautiful hotel! Convenient location to areas of dining and shopping! The only thing negative there is no parking lot or parking garage. There is valet parking which cost 59 NZ dollars per night amd on street parking free 5 pm til 9 am. So we choose street parking but then left hotel early to avoid a ticket.
