"I've stayed here on a number of occasions over the last decade and a bit. I've always found it to be friendly, with good beer and good food. My only reservations are that in colder months, the chalets can be a bit on the cool side despite having heaters. However, on this occasion, I was in one of the newer rooms and the bathroom was nice and warm in the morning and best of all contained a walk-in shower stall, far better than clambering over a bath tub! "Lovely old pub, nice friendly staff. We booked the large double which was extremely comfortable, great pillows. The only let down was the cold, it was freezing. Heating wasn't working. This wouldn't put me off staying again, as it's a really nice place"

"The staff were very friendly and the room was beautiful but it was on the same level and overlooked the beer garden, so I think that this could be a problem in the summer. It also had an interconnecting door, which meant I could hear my noisy neighbours very clearly!"

"We loved our stay at the crown, the hotel rooms are beautifully decorated and to such a high quality, the breakfast included in the room rate is cooked to such a high quality using the best quality ingredient very impressive. The restaurant for an evening meal was also very good. We will be staying here again without hesitation as the staff on top are truly so lovely an hospitable."

"Good pub style hotel with a comfortable bed! A bit dated inside the rooms but adequate. Plenty of hot water and free WiFi. Parking is a little tricky due to it’s location."

"A lovely countryside stay. The pub is beautiful, a great mix of an old pub with modern design. Everything feels lovely and clean. Huge beds! I would say though, we stayed on a Sunday and the road out the front on the Monday morning was quite noisy (rush hour, bin men and gas refill right outside the window of our room). I doubt the rooms were full with it being a Sunday, so it would have been good if they put us out the back. If you can, request a room at the back of the building! "

"We were unexpectedly upgraded to a more luxurious suite which surpassed all expectations. Beautiful complimentary beauty products. Would highly recommend this to couples wanting some quality down time. Breakfast was good quality along with the attentive service. "

"Beautiful barn had all we needed for a wonderful, relaxed stay. Only fault was the garden was quite grubby; the table and chairs hadn't been cleaned from the previous people, as there was still an ashtray full of cigarette ends on the table. I had to wipe down the chairs by the hot tub before we could sit down and enjoy our evening. Only a minor fault, but I feel like the outside should be as clean as the inside. Don't let this deter you from staying here; we had a great time and really enjoyed...
