"What a such a wonderful week at La Grange de Chatelus! We were three families (six adults, eight children) and we stayed for a week during August. The house is stunning, huge rooms, comfortable beds, amazing ensuites to all the bedrooms, multiple washing machines, tumble dryers and even two dishwashers. "I had a lovely week, away from it all, in Haute Correze. I love the area though I wasn't familiar with Ussel and its surroundings but found loads of new places to see and things to do. The accomodation was very spacious (I was alone), the dining room, kitchen and bathroom all well- equipped. I was there during a heatwave and the terrace was sometimes just too hot to sit out on, but still an asset to the property."

Un seul bruleur fonctionne sur la plaque de cuisson et si vous tentez d'allumer le four l'installation électrique disjoncte. il y a bien 2 convecteurs électriques mais ceci sont coupé par le propriétaire au tableau électrique qui n'est pas accessible au locataire. etc... Attention propriétaire plus que roublard."

Communication with owners was very good and the pool was kept clean by Claude who visited often to check everything was OK. "The house has been renovated nicely and has most things that you need, except wifi! There is a reasonable telephone signal but we quickly used up our data roaming allowance as we were there to search for a property. There is a restaurant in the next village and a supermarket in Felletin which also hosts a country market on Friday mornings. It is lovely being in the middle of the Millevaches Plateau but that does mean it takes a long time to get anywhere. The host was very kind and helpful...

"A big thanks to Gary for being so helpful . The location of the house is perfect so peaceful. The interior stylish and well equipped. During the week we stayed it was extremely hot so having the good sized pool situated so close by was ideal . It was our first time to the area and we all loved the region. I highly recommend the house, in fact it’s the best I have stayed in in France . We all had a wonderful and memorable holiday and I hope to return sometime soon."

"At first we thought it was a derelict house, nothing to look at from the street, but inside it was something else. A beautiful old house, modern bathroom, first class toiletries warm towels, excellent bed, crisp white linens. Super quiet. Lovely breakfast including homemade jams with fruits from the garden. The hosts were very nice, friendly and helpful. If you want to watch TV, this is not for you as there was no TV in the room, but do you really need one? We would say there again. "
