Die Zimmer sind sehr geäumig, sauber, alles vorhanden was man so braucht. Das Essen im Reszaura nt ist seh gut, allerdings ist das Personal im Service leicht überfordert, wir bestellten 2 Vorspeisen, erhalten haben wir nur eine.Wir willten ein Glas Wein, aber es wurde keine Flsche geöffnet, wir sollten die ganze Flasche kaufen.

Nicht mehr für uns

Beim check in wurde uns nach den Formalitäten erstmal die Speisekarte gegeben und wir sollten schon bestellen damit die Küche alles vorbereiten kann. Das Zimmer wurde uns gezeigt, die Koffer mussten wir selber schleppen. Personal unkonzentriert und wenig engagiert ausser 1 Dame. Quiche war okay, Suppe gut, Salat mit Krokodilfleisch nicht gut, das Fleisch war überwiegend Knorpel. Essen war zu 16.30h bestellt und kam nach Nachfrage um 17.45h. Frühstück war gut

Unique Experience

Good rooms in beautiful surroundings, most overlooking the Kavango river. The highlight is the authentic indigenous food with unique grains, nuts and fruit. The breakfast was wonderful. The dinner might be an acquired taste for some but there are other options.

Hôtel pas sérieux.

Cest simple : l'hôtel avait «oublié» notre réservation, et il était complet. Nous avons dû aller dormir ailleurs. HÔTEL.COM ne nous a même pas remboursé les 2 chambres que nous avons payées depuis le mois de novembre 2018, malgré nos réclamations écrites.

A quiet spot in Rundu

A really nice peaceful setting at the river. Beautiful view of the river. The chalets in a green garden. The food was good and you have several local choices and ingredients at both dinner and breakfast. Chalet Nr 1 was spacious and well designed, maybe just missing lamps in a few places.

Das war unser zweiter Aufenthalt. Beim ersten Mal hatten wir Glück, da es früh regnete. Klingt komisch, hat aber einen ernsten Hintergrund: Das Hotel liegt direkt am "Rundu Beach", der Partymeile. Die Zimmer 1-4 liegen so nah dran, dass man unweigerlich mittanzt. Die Musik ist laut, die Bässe stark, so dass man mitvibriert. Bis exakt 6 Uhr morgens. Empfehlung also für alle Partylöwen, die tanzen möchten (vorsichtig sein, ein Bekannter wurde dort bedroht) oder ohnehin die Nacht zum Tag machen wollen. Für eine ruhige Übernachtung eher ungeeignet. Es gibt noch weitere Zimmer hinter der Rezeption. Inwieweit diese durch den Lärm beeinträchtigt werden, können wir nicht sagen. Dafür ist das Hotelpersonal sehr freundlich, der Pool lädt zum Entspannen ein und das Frühstück ist gut.

Die Lodge incl. des gesamten Bereichs war sehr schön. Allerdings ließ die Professionalität und Freundlichkeit des Personals sehr zu wünschen übrig. Da unsere Ankunft spät war, hatten wir vorab ein bestimmtes Essen gebucht. Dies wurde uns auch per Email bestätigt. Bei Ankunft gab es das bestellte Essen nicht - man hätte keine Email bekommen. Das Ersatzessen gab es dann leider auch nicht mehr, ebenfalls war der gewünschte Wein aus. Es gab nur noch eine nicht schmeckende Teigtasche aus dem Gefrierfach. Obwohl wir das Essen bar bezahlt haben, erhielten wir Tage späte eine email der Besitzerin mit der Aufforderung, die Kreditkarte frei zu schalten, damit sie den Betrag abbuchen kann. Keine Entschuldigung nach Aufklärung des Sachverhalts! Stattdessen die Bitte, man möge doch eine positive Bewertung abgeben.

We loved staying at Tambuti Lodge. The lodge is situated in a beautiful and lush garden and have lovely views over the Okavango River. We were welcomed with a lovely local hibiscus flower drink. The menu is one of the most interesting menus in Namibia with a variety of local African and exotic dishes and normal everyday meals. Breakfast was also very interesting with the fusion of local and European produce. I loved staying there!

Kleines fmiliäres Haus am Fluss

eine Anlage mit 5 kleinen Häusernm 3 Camping Stellplatz und einem Pool, wo man etwas schwimmen kann. Die Lage ist direkt am Fluss am Rande der Stadt. Die Umgebung war ruhig. Das Essen im Lokal war vorzüglich. Frischen Fisch aus dem Fluss. Das Frühstück war auch sehr gut. Schön der freundliche Empfang muss erwähnt werden.

A good place to stop if passing through.

this was a pleasant stay. we got in late so missed our opportunity for dinner, but thankfully the staff was still there and was able to let us into our room. They staff was very nice and hospitable. Our room was clean, but the bathroom seemed a little sketch.... but it's Africa... so I won't hold it against them. The breakfast was simple but satisfying. It was a good place to stay in Rundu since we were just passing through. If you need to stop in this small town, I would suggest this location...

Lovely lodge in a beautiful setting.

A great place to stay. With roadworks being carried out it was difficult to find. The gardens were lovely. Meals very nice especially breakfast with a bush bias. Everything was well finished off in rooms and surrounds. WiFi was difficult to get at times.
