6/10 Okay

"Our bedroom had not been cleaned very well. There were small paper pieces behind the night stand and a pair of glasses on the floor. The tub drain was plugged so when we showered the tub filled. The staff was kind but it doesn’t seem like the room had been prepped properly. Our stay was short so we didn’t mention this until we were on our way out."

"Admittedly I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay that allowed dogs. So, I expected less than 100% and I was okay with that. Check in was easy. $15 surcharge for our dog was reasonable. Got to the room and there was no microwave. Shortly after getting settled the toilet backed up. The manager was quick to hand me a plunger. I had to unplug the toilet myself. After an hour or so the manager arrived and cleaned up the bathroom mess and grabbed the plunger. Breakfast was so-so. The egg offering was a thin yellow disk about 2 1/2" in diameter. I've stayed in places that were far worse. It was clean basic motel experience."

"Location at the heart of everything happening in town yet at the end of the street so very quiet too. The staff was excellent and so very personable. We especially enjoyed meeting and visiting with employees Heather and Bobby. They are super people and have excellent customer service skills. A real asset to Stone Mills business."

"I arrived after dark and the frogs greeted me with a beautiful chorus! My room was spacious and, as were the common areas, it was full of interesting objects and was decorated consistent with the place and its history. The nature is beautiful in the driftless region of MN where the hotel is located."

"King bed room was clean and bed was comfortable. The lobby was clean although the hallways smelled a bit of weed, but thankfully the room didn’t. The breakfast was as expected for the hotel chain, a bottle of water in the vending machine was only $1. Not a luxurious place but for the price in Winona it was good. I would recommend if you just need a clean decent room."

"First off, the place was immaculately cleaned. Impressively so. Very friendly and helpful staff, great location just up the road a piece from the main downtown Lanesboro area in a very quiet corner right off of the Root River. I liked that it was a few blocks away from the main drag there, it helped to keep quiet when you want quiet. I would definitely stay in Lanesboro again, and specifically at Green Gables Inn. We are already thinking about bringing the kids soon."
