Big farmhouse in the foothills of the Berkshires

Built in the early 1800s, our renovated farm house can accommodate a large group or gathering. This 1600 square foot home can keep everyone together: three large bedrooms upstairs and an optional fourth downstairs. Large backyard and deck made for outside fun. Two full bathrooms, laundry, large farm table with seating for 10, and a full kitchen. South Quarter House was designed for you to relax and enjoy the woodsy surroundings, with over 20 acres of hiking woods behind the house.

Our farm house, surrounding woods, and barn make a perfect setting for family get togethers and getaways. In winter, we have a pellet stove to make things cozy.

We live just down the road, with adjacent property to South Quarter House's back woods, so we are immediately available via phone or text. We're happy to check you in, make sure you have everything you need for your stay, offer suggestions for activities and food, and otherwise help you have the perfect stay.

South Quarter House is in a quiet neighborhood on a mountain road with no close neighbors except across the street. Westfield is 10 minutes away and offers everything for food, shopping, restaurants, drugstores, etc. Also in Westfield, Stanley Park is a popular spot for playgrounds, exercise, and a beautiful garden with impressive exhibits of roses, tulips, and more, depending on the season. In winter, Blandford Ski Area is nearby, and there are snow-shoeing options all around us.

Family weekend getaway

Peaceful, quiet spot

Our stay here was perfect. The house was super clean and had all we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and even had sharp knives, which can be hard to come by in some places. The large dining table was perfect for dinner and games and the stove kept us toasty warm. The owners were just a text away and.very friendly!

Closing Gap

Needed a place to stay a couple nights with our crew before we closed on our home, We rolled in late and the home was lit up well, AC tuned on and was just what we needed. The home is a well preserved farm house with all the necessities one would need for a lengthy stay. Big yard for Animals and QUIET. 10/10 would stay again.

Charming Farmhouse

We loved our stay, and enjoyed the rustic feel of the farmhouse. There are trails nearby to walk around and take in the natural beauty. It's a perfect place to disconnect and unwind.

Family Reunion

We planned a family reunion in the area. The farm house was pet friendly and the perfect location to our family that lived 20 minutes away. Eric was very accommodating. It was quiet and relaxing.

A perfect place for family time.

This home was so cozy, charming, spacious, and comfortable. The location was perfect. Not far from wonderful hiking trails. We loved the backyard and beautiful stream. The big tub was dreamy! The restoration of this beautiful farmhouse is very impressive. We definitely would love to go back again.

Charming and cozy

This little old house is charming and comfortable and very quiet. Perfect for a relaxing time away from the city without feeling like you’re in the middle of nowhere. Was a very lovely stay!

Was a very lovely stay and the farmhouse itself is quite beautiful! Great place for family to gather and get ready for our wedding. The only thing that could be better is some new mattresses as the ones there are not very new or very comfortable. If that changed it would be hard not to want to go there every year! The owner was wonderful and everything else was perfect! Thank you for hosting us in such a lovely space! The host was wonderful

Wonderful!

The South Quarter House was a perfect spot for connecting with family and nature! Beautiful home with spacious yard in the country. Close to great hiking spots and country stores, and Westfield wasn't far for anything we needed to get in town. Eric and Alicia responded quickly to any messages and left great instructions at the house. Great experience!

Quiet and perfect for our needs

We chose to stay here for the inaugural Ironman 70.3 in Springfield. It was great! Beautiful property and home, spotless and an old-timey charm. It’s close to a portion of the bike course so we were able to test out the road conditions. The home owner was quick to respond on three different occasions - two of which he or his wife came to the house to personally deliver something we needed. The house was comfortable, spacious and really neat. Would definitely stay again. Thanks!

Amazing Stay in a beautiful Historic Farmhouse

My wife and younger children along with several other family members came into town for our oldest daughter’s wedding. The farmhouse was just perfect for our stay. The home is in a quiet wooded area surrounded by nature. There is actually a stream with a small waterfall directly behind the house. There are also formal hiking trails within a 3/4 mile walk from the house. The house was supplied with everything that we needed for the trip allowing us to cook some of our meals and take care of things like laundry as needed. There were 6 beds available to us and the owner, Eric, even allow my wife’s sister and family to park their RV on property. Eric was a great communicator and was very helpful whenever we had a question. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

We stayed for 2 nights to attend an event at Springfield College. 'We' were 5 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. While it is pet friendly there were no remnants of any pets from previous renters. It is an OLD farmhouse that was immaculate and comfortably furnished. It is stocked with plenty of towels and all the kitchen utensils and appliances needed. The property is very quiet and relaxing. Plenty of parking and a nice backyard for active kids.

Wonderful Find

This property is AMAZING! It is in a circa 1820 house with all the associated charm. My friends and I were attending a dog show in West Springfield. This was close enough for a short drive to the venue, but remote enough to provide all the peace and quiet you need. The owners are extremely accommodating with dogs. Those that show dogs truly appreciate this and it made for a fantastic experience. The dogs loved it too! If back again, I will definitely look to book the house again.

Beautiful home in beautiful location

This home was absolutely fantastic and perfect for our family trip to see our daughter graduate from Mt. Holyoke. The home was 35 minutes away from the college and 10 minutes from the town of Westfield …… game on TV. It was absolutely lovely. The communication with the property owner was great. He answered our questions quickly. Check in and check out were a breeze. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent Getaway

Great old farmhouse, on a quiet street with a very decent yard. Kitchen is well-equipped. Plenty of puzzles, games, and DVDs if you're stuck with a rainy day. Great place to unwind and reset. Would absolutely stay again.Location is convenient to hiking and very close to Westfield (many excellent local breweries in Westfield).

Perfect family home

Our stay was great . The house was super clean it was a perfect spot to visit my grandchildren. Eric was so responsive my husband ran out of propane for grill and he showed up about 5 minutes later with more propane . We found a perfect little beach 20 minutes away . It was $20 a car load and a very very dhort walk from parking lot which was threat for toddlers . We definitely want to stay again

Relaxing retreat

Optimal access to hiking and surrounding towns! We enjoyed the quiet secluded property with plenty of room for us and our dog to enjoy the great outdoors. The surrounding historic towns were an easy drive.
