"I was on Expedia making a last minute reservation the evening of check-in. I accidentally selected this property instead of another I wanted. I immediately called Expedia to explain my error. Expedia called Hampton Inn to explain the situation and request a waiver of their non-refundable rule. Hampton Inn bluntly refused, knowing full well that there would be no one checking-in for that room. It was a classic case of “we’ve got your money now and it sucks to be you.” We never got a refund. We are Hilton Honours’ members and long time guests of Hampton Inn. However, that is the last time Hampton Inn is getting a dime from me. I can vote with my feet and my wallet."
